Is a cathedral taller than all other residential buildings in your country? The Cobh Cathedral (officially known as St Colman's Cathedral) stands at 91.4 metres or 300 feet tall. The tallest residential buildings in the Republic or Ireland and Northern Ireland stand at only 82.1 metres and 85 metres respectively. Thought it's worth mentioning that a new construction in Cork city will take that spot away at 85.53 metres once finished.

You go into the Mediterranean and look at Spain or Greece and most of their buildings are flat white. I guess the weather doesn't permit anything else, but to me that has always been a bit of an eyesore. Not to mention the more poverty stricken areas.
it happens. boerentoren in Antwerp is not as tall, but it's the only skyscraper in the city center that i know of. cathedral is the tallest in the low countries at 123m
