acording to anglos they are not but thats because the racial classification of "white" depends of religion, let me explain.
Anglos are protestants and protestas at their core are anti Catholic, so any european who is catholic must be looked with suspicions at best and disgust at worst, this is the reason way germans are "white" and italians are "not white" even tho all of Europe descends culturally from them, their contribution is too important to ignore but brits inferiority complex (look at their history being the box bag for the saxons and vikings)mixed whit protentastism during their peak as an empire decide to cut them from the ""family"", thasts why event tho the average Irish is way more pale than the average brit they look at them whit disdain, because they are catholic and thus cannot be placed at the same regards as them.
but what about the french? they are not protestant but since they share so much history whit them they are force to recognice them no mather how disgusted the average brit may feel, but why? you may ask and the reason is their royalty is partially french, during a good time the english royals spooke french, lived in french land and married french nobility, this is way the french are the exception, because if they arent then the british royals wouldnt be white, and if the royals arent white but the average brit is then anti monachy movements would use this to gather the people against the monarchy
