>>225026606I can barely understand my dad's dialect, my mother's is a bit easier and I was more exposed to it because we live in the town where it was historically spoken. Going 2-3 generations back they were even more alien because they weren't influenced by the ""Serbo-Croatian"" standard. I had great-grandparents that natively or only spoke a from of Italian which I don't know. And everyone in my family tree is from the same Croatian county.Must be nice living in a normal country that didn't use a dialect from a different country for it's standard language.

I would like to speak english, spanish, german, and japanese the most. Of course some like chinese, farsi, russian, kinds pull me a bit but just being realistic that won’t happen. Would be happy being basic conversational in the ones I am trying to learn
