Well, look at how they fucked up here. They're all sitting together in one big intraethnic ingroup section rather than dispersing (assimilating) into the general mass. That's why they got noticed.

I will say it's weird because most of the 2nd gen Indian-Americans I know are cool and basically just got in with white friend groups. Idk what happened in Texas where there are so many of them that it isn't happening anymore.
