I once got into an argument with some Polish people because I said Poland had a lot of good things going for it but they insisted Poland sucked
this was a couple years ago when I visited Krakow and Zakopane, might have been a political thing because PIS was still in charge of your country back then and from what I got told they're they boomer party, so maybe that explains your unrelenting pessimism
but the impression I left with was that Polish people are masters at self-hate
