If the Bantu expansion hadn't happened Central, Eastern and Southern Africa would've been inhabited by hunter-gatherers like the pygmies and khoisan that would've easily died like flies and been enslaved by Europeans when they arrived like in Australia. Can we all take a moment to appreciate the Bantu expansion preventing the creation of a dozen other Australias in the more temperate climate of the southern and eastern African highlands and Europeans taking permanent control of yet another continent?
