How does it feel to live in a super dominated by capital and boring outside city state like San Marino, lithuania, Estonia, finland, russia, hungary, south Korea, thailand, argentina, Malta, cyprus etc. ?
Its either live in the capital or be a peon?

Dang I never really thought of it like that wow those countries really are like city-states

I don't think it's as bad as it sounds it's probably just really boring like hundreds of towns scattered that maybe have like a few thousand people in them with a McDonald's if they're lucky

Basically just a miniature version of the main city-state

American states are interesting because our states generally have a very evenly distributed population relative to the largest city

Like you have the biggest city but then all the surrounding cities generally have somewhere between 10,000 to 100,000 people in them better also miniature versions of the biggest city in the state

But instead of crappy towns with weird soups and farmland each American one is a suburbia with a mini New York City inside of it right beside the old timey stuff

Unless you're actually like in the middle of nowhere in Nebraska but even that it's still generally the same if you go like 10 miles out you'll find one of those

Well that’s kinda boring. I guess it’s historical. Thanks for the answer

I think it would be cool to go into a country and then have it be like constantly city everywhere or like constant suburb everywhere but it might get kind of trippy after a while

And yeah I guess so for most of human history humans were in one area you have the main city the suburbs and then the rural area

That's just scaled down and spread across cities differently across the world

Finland has no cities, Helsinki is an overgrown town.
>>
>>225307273
Do you still have regional tensions despite it?
>>
>>225304500
I quite enjoy my life in the 6th largest town in Finland. Getting my own place wasn't as outrageously expensive as it would've been in Helsinki, or more specifically in one of the outer towns of Helsinki because only richfags get to live in Helsinki proper.

Youth group fights used (?) to be a thing, one of my father's friends got driven out of the neighboring village for shittalking the local girls or something, things like that. Helsinki is known to be gay. The old capital village, Turku, is the asshole of the country.

Ok seems based

i've never been to the capital despite it being 25% of the population, and never felt like i'm missing out. i live on the coast and i'm having a good time
>>
I have literally never worked in my life.

"do what you love, and you will never work a day"

No but literally I don't work I just lay around. Other countries can't comprehend this.

>I dun want to live in tha big city, here in shitholeville life is much quieter and more relaxed
If it wasn't full of brown people Helsinki would be great, with amazing public transit and lots of things to do etc. etc.

I can't comprehend this, how do you buy beer?

Budapest is Hobotown
hobos own it
they're legally untouchable so they get to do whatever wherever whenever
it's amazing how much one drunk stinky fuck can affect the feng shui of a place
and Budapest doesn't have just one

only thing i'm missing is the Chinese diners
well and takeaway food in general

Feels like shit if you don’t live in the capital
>no job opportunities, all 100s of kms away from your town
>nothing of worth in your city/town unless you move to Bangkok (few exceptions are Phuket, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai)
>best universities all 100s of kms away from your town
And if you have a crappy birth rate and aging population
>your town only has old people walking around
>>
>>225309169
I do this too
>>

it's good. mexico city is geographically mandated to rule over all of mesoamerica

I wish it was still like that, the province of Buenos Aires is so urbanized, the other provinces are still underpopulated but not like how it was before. Only TWO MILLIONS living in a massive country, the oligarchs in Buenos Aires called the other provinces the "thirteen ranches" for a reason
>>
>>225311174
>Chiang Mai
that place seems to have a lot of historical buildings
>>

Sttange how every cunt has the same virew of their capital being a messy shithole. When i went to Budapest it struck me how clean and orderly everythink was compared to most larger cities here, and Sweden is a quite clean and orderly country
