Boomers are so used to preferential treatment, if they have to pay the same rent as gen z they will literally die, lmao

TBD
>>225339390she was a boomer, it was her god given right. It would be extremely unfair if boomers and gen z paid the same for rent
>>225337838I don't understand why, in the current year, the elderly are deemed more worthy of respect than a middle aged or young person considering just about anybody can grow old because of modern medicine and cushy standards of living. In the past, living to the age of seventy or eighty was viewed as quite a feat considering how easily someone could get taken out by war, famine, infection or disease, and listening to an old person for advice might have some tangible benefit considering the general lifestyle of the average person changed very little between, say, 510-590. Compared to today, the advice of someone who was young 60 years ago might as well be as useful as someone who was born 600 years ago and literally anyone who doesn't have a serious underlying health condition can live to retirement age as long as they don't do hard drugs, smoke and drink heavily or compulsively eat to the point of chronic obesity. Why should I care if they have to spend the last few years of their lives in poverty when their age has already rendered them permanently sick, incontinent and cognitively inept anyway?
