A man has died after being attacked by a tiger at a zoo in Doncaster.He reportedly jumped into the enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Saturday afternoon, with witnesses telling local media that they had heard shots being fired and the tiger “had him by the neck”.Footage shared on social media showed the man, wearing a black jumper, sitting on the ground of the enclosure as the tiger bit his chest and attempted to claw at his legs.Emergency services attended the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead at the site. He has not yet been named.The park was evacuated shortly after the incident and the site will remain closed for at least the rest of the weekend. A black screen has been put up around the enclosure.South Yorkshire Police said it had received reports of a man entering the enclosure at 1.35pm, before being “subsequently attacked” by the tiger. The animal was uninjured and remained inside the pen after the incident.
