The interview itself was ok, but I asked them about the working conditions in that specific team I was getting into and they flat out told me that in a lot of cases, if our manager was still in the office, the rest of the team also stays. Tech is a small world in Japan, even more so those who can hire foreigners, so I know a lot of people who used to be in Rakuten.
