I had to take what I could get. I moved for a job, having never been to the city, and was in a short-term lease for one month and needed to have my housing sorted in two weeks.

Rent in a non-hovel 1br apartment anywhere near Bondi beach and surrounding beach suburbs will run you USD 3000/m (but no tip).
I own so don’t have to pay for the luxury to live in a white beach lifestyle suburb.
>>
>>225492229
Do people ever use those outdoor staircases in America? Would people call the police if they saw you walking up and down them?
>>
>>225491908
like 600 for 400 square feet, i try to make it look less like an incel cave and more like a prison cell so as not to confuse my lifestyle with trannies or incels
>>
>>225492790
did your parents buy a condo near bondi beach like 30 years ago?
>>
>>225492816

>>225493249
I call bullshit. Unkess you meant for a room in a 3 bed flat.
>>
>>225493341
>How? Did you start renting it 10 years ago?
Council house, and my family started renting it in the 1970s (I wasn't born until the 90s though, we've been living in it for several generations now)
>>
>>225492032
How much do you make for comparison?

300 USD for a room in a big house.

>>225491908

>>
>>225492229
>>225492032
these niggas make 10-20k/month and whine about 2-3k/month in rent kek
>>
Legit how do people with average salaries pay for their own place nowadays? Everything is expensive as fuck, even rent is expensive unless you are willing to share the place with others, a notion I abhor.
Down here they are forced to live in the outskirts of the city since it's way cheaper than in the actual city, but it can be dangerous considering there's even less police coverage on those regions.
>>
>>225491908
I pay 12k czk (around 500 euros), and I live with 4 other people near the centre of Prague

They are sweethearts, but really dumb and their only hobby, subject of conversation, or interest is sports so we have nothing in common. We do our own things.

>>225492142
It’s funny how firsties in most cases don’t own the places they live at for example that UK anon who says they’ve been renting for generations or whatever that’s so insane in our case. I don’t know anyone here who doesn’t own some kind of apartment/flat or a house in the village.
But then again they firsties mog with salaries
>>
>>225491908
68 usd for utilities (water, trash collection and building maintenance)of my 55 square meters apartment
>>
>>225497159
I used SpareRoom to find a place short-term, and then Facebook housing groups to find long-term roommates. StreetEasy is a very common way for people to find apartments with roommates in NYC.
>>
~1100 € in monthly costs (mortgage + shared expenses) for a 100 m2 apartment. My net monthly income is just over 6000 €.
>>
>>225493249

Not bad anon.

Mine is £620 a month for a modern 2 bed apartment with a balcony in a comfy village. It's like gold in this country. Housing association new build so eternal lease.
