asalamaylaikum my niggas, im recently obsessed with watching youtube videos on rules in Islam

is this common in your country also?

i think its truly interesting because different people have different opinions and call everyone else kuffar. they sometimes also have very unexpected opinions

I think al- Shatibi and ibn- Qayyim are foundational for Jurisprudence, for a particularist school.
>>

did you know there seems to be a lot of mixed opinions on whether listening to music is haram or no
>>

muslims at my high school almost never mentionned islam only soccer and anime (they were giant weebs holy shit), they would take the vegetarian menu during lunch break because they didn't eat non halal meat but that's pretty much it
i was in a private uni but my brother went to a big university in med school and he told me they would sometimes use empty classrooms to do group prayers
>>

most people never talk about incel shit like religion and philosophy
most people talk about their interests, hobbies, and family
same applies to muslims

yeah same here, almost all of them are only culturally muslim
i think its pretty fun to dig into the actual "rules" of it though. it's insanely OCD

literally they have rules about anything you could imagine. i wouldnt be able to live worrying about stuff like this

>did you know there seems to be a lot of mixed opinions on whether listening to music is haram or no
Yeah, usually scholars like Ibn Hazm and Al-Ghazali are used to argue that.
>Whoever says all music is prohibited let him claim the songs of the birds are prohibited - Al-Ghazali
In his perhaps most popular book, "Revival of the Religious Sciences" he devoted an entire section to argue that music and singing are not intrinsically forbidden.
>>

subhanallah the bird's song is nothing like listening to music, it is for the kuffar who wants to move his body and lust for girls

A damn shame you aren't an Arabic speaker since the vast majority of Salafi content is only in this language and is almost never translated, not even by >>225503979 . Every time they open their mouth it's kino, vidrel is one of my favorite sheikhs pronouncing kufr and apostasy (death sentence) on anyone who denies the efficacy or doubts the hadith of healing camel urine

the problem of islamic scholarship is that most of the scholars are far more intelligent than mohammed or his companions and waste their efforts trying to hold a stillborn false religion together

I wouldn't be inclined to disagree, they were some of the most brilliant minds of their time. And they are inheriters of the prophets.
>I heard the Messenger of God (pbuh) say: Whoever treads a path to seek knowledge, God will make him tread the paths towards Paradise. And verily, all those in the heavens and earth, even the fish in the depths of the sea ask forgiveness for the scholar. For the virtue of the scholar over the worshipper is like the virtue of the moon over the stars. And indeed, the scholars are the inheritors of the prophets. Prophets do not leave behind a dinar or a dirham, but rather, they leave behind only knowledge. So whoever takes hold of it, has acquired a large share of inheritance - (book of knowledge, hadith 3641)

If you don't have auto-dub translation it's about how rape isn't real because Allah provided her with the faculties to resist rape and she can just "close her legs" and thus render rape impossible. If a sexual relation still happened then she wanted it.

This is one of the most influential sheikhs of the 21st century tard-kun. Good luck finding an Arab (not maghrebi) who hasn't heard of him
