Fuck Christianity for killing Rome
Rome killed itself by becoming an Empire
>>225508868honestly, Rome was overrated. there was way too little worthy competition after Carthage, it just bloated up and then wasted away.Imagine a three kingdom scenario instead, the amount of kino would be stratospheric
>Christianity killed Rome>Rome survived till the late middle agesRome actually died when it became Hellenistic instead of Illyrian
Christianity is Rome. You just like homoerotic statues but now that Evropa is pagan again you can watch gay porn
>>225508868Good. Carthage was better than Rome anyways.
>>225509122Rome started dying in 309AD, there were bad emperors before and after then, but the evil tyrant Constantine(one of the worst emperors) started a clear decline, and the emperor became just a figurehead for whatever warlord strolled into Rome. And before you mention the Byzantine empire, their emperors were also incompetent, managing to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in almost every war. Augustus would have wept at what Rome became.
>>225508975>>225509107>>225509122>>225509173This Hindu has no idea about any of that lol
>>225508868Christianity saved Rome
Christianity is such a garbage religion. How did peasants all over the Med fall for it.
>>225508868The eastern empire was also Christian and it survived until 1453I'm yet to hear a good explaination for this from vargtards
>>225509277>Posts a Pepe of Rome's killerIf only Maxentius won the battle of the Milvian bridge.
In the RES PVBLICA, Rome fucked everyone's ass, they meddled in all subjects everywhere, they raped Gaul, destroyed Carthage, made Iberia swallow their cock and balls, Anatolia and the Levant got anally raped and Egypt, just like it's queen, was flooded with roman semen. What the fuck did the Empire do apart from getting fucked in the ass by barbarians and sucking the cock? You either fuck the ass or get your ass fucked
>>225508868Are you that stupid indian who uses that high school teacher with no background in history as a primary source?
>>225509324eastern empire sucks!
>>225509443He's a Hindu who seethes about Christianity
>>225509278Well if you weren't retarded and lazy you would've had that question answered by doing some research.
>>225509481No, it's even worse, he's a LARPing neo Nordic pagan Jeet, I shit you not.
>>225508868blaming the fall of rome on one thing or aspect is braindead
>>225509273*Saint Constantine
>>225510023Do Christians regard son-murderers as saints?
>>225509577Grim
I know people back then lived very different lives but how the fuck did so many people get convinced some random carpenter was the son of god with zero historical proof he did anything remotely divine. Just wtf? And 2000 years later a third of the world still worships him
>>225510567Didn't he perform miracles and stuff? Besides if you are charismatic enough you can get away with everything, Jesus was Chad af, even mohammed wasn't as chad as him, his followers were furious after he married his stepsons former wife he had to involve allahs word to get out this mess
>>225510567Is it any different than the worship of Zeus, Jupiter and what-not?
>>225510567Christianity as originally an apocalyptic cult, Christians preached that the end of the world was neigh and manipulated people to join the cult. When it became obvious the world wasn't ending, the control and influence the church had over Christians became obvious to tyrants who sought to gain control of Christianity, that's why the first ever council of the Christian church was convened by Constantine. Once Christianity became the state religion of Rome, Pagans began to be persecuted, it got to a point where they were forcefully converted under threat of murder. Christianity used the tolerance of Roman Pagans to spread, but once it had power it didn't show the same degree of tolerance to European pagans.
>>225511884>used the tolerance of Roman PagansReally proving that 70iq, rajeet
>>225508868Rome killed itself way before Christianity. Sulla is the culprit, maybe even the Gracchi niggers.
witnessed
>>225512340Roman pagans did not persecute Christians for even 1% of the amount that Christians persecuted Roman Pagans. Vast majority of Roman emperors after 30AD were tolerant of Christianity(huge mistake). Christians embelish the persecution they suffered under the Romans, claiming that most of the Popes in the first few centuries like Peter were "martyred", but the truth is that Christians murdered each other over differences of belief more than the Roman Pagans murdered them. Peter probably died in one of those inter-Christian fights. See also mainstream Christianity's conflicts with Arianism and Gnosticism. It wasn't until the 1st council of Nicaea in the 4th century that the Trinity was codified, Christians before then believed all sorts of heresies.
>>225509278What are some non-garbage religions perchance?
>>225512512You're obviously wrong and know nothing about Roman history, raj, but that's to be expected from someone who uses a high school classic teacher as his source for history.
>>225512657If Rome actually wanted to eradicate Christianity, and I mean if its emperors adopted a consistent policy of suppressing Christianity, the religion would not exist today, same way that Roman Paganism and Greek Paganism were brutually eradicated by Christianity. See the Tokugawa shogunate for a (semi)successful Christian eradication programme.
>>225509122>till the late middle agesRome ended in WW1
>>225512737>If Rome actually wanted to eradicate Christianity, and I mean if its emperors adopted a consistent policy of suppressing Christianity, the religion would not exist todayFor someone who loves Diocletian you sure are retarded about his goal of eradicating chrisanity or you do, but just want to play dumb because your dishonest.
>>225512910Whenever the odd anti-Christian emperor would come along, Christians would go underground for a decade or two, until the next cuck pro-Christian emperor comes and undos the work of his predecessor.
>>225512910Jeets don't know anything about Western history, they can ape knowledge of it by imitating what they see in reddit comments or tweets, but talking to them even briefly reveals how little they understand. It's exactly like if an English guy started LARPing that he deeply knew about hinduism or something,
>>225512966>until the next cuck pro-ChristianThere was never "pro Christian" emperor prior to Constantine and lying isn't gonna win you this argument.
>>225513056True and this one over here is a perfect example of it. He takes wildly outdated information and uses it as absolute facts despite being proven wrong time after time. Why? I don't know.
>>225509278Religion was mostly a thing for patricians back then, but a religion for plebs and slaves as the target audience was revolutionary
>>225513082I meant "pro-Christian" as in tolerant of Christianity
>>225509107Indeed, picrel. A lot of history in general where you ask "How could XYZ ever allow this to happen?" is because it is more random, and less grand than you'd think. How did Rome expand so rapidly to conquer all of the Greek East, the hellenistic successor states to the Macedonian empire? Why did Rome fall? How did the Arabs conquer Egypt and Iran in a few decades and later all of spain in less than a decade (which it took them then around 500 years to reclaim)? Why was the ERE oblivious to centuries of gradual turkicification and why did it wipe itself out? Etc. >That the Romans did not conquer the world is certain; they merely took possession of a booty that lay open to everyone. This line in particular discusses why the Arab conquest was so vast. Its not that the Arabs were extremely effective, although they were relatively effective and extremely well positioned and well timed, but its more that it was easy to take. And if it was easy to take, it was also easy for the Romans (with the exception of Carthage that was a true great power for the time). One of the reasons not discussed enough for the decline of Rome is simply with each passing century from the 1st century AD, the Germanic tribes became stronger through being neighbours to Rome. The celts succumbed, but even in their prime Rome could never fully pass the Rhine into the germanic heartland. To such an extent by the 5th century AD they were not the same type of primitive tribesmen they could conquer but organised armies effectively on the same calibre as Rome. It was fighting an equal enemy and it simply lost at that point, and empire of that scale in europe was never to exist again because it only works when weaker people are under your thumb with lands for the taking. Civilisation is something that is confined to geography and spreads. Asia spread civilisation to Greece, then Greece to Rome, then Rome to the Germanic tribes. Once it gets out of the bottle it doesnt get back in.
>>225513836Complete nonsense. Plebians were just as religious as Patricians.
>>225514134No you didn't. You got caught lying and now you're trying to backpedal.
>>225514263Whatever helps you cope. Why would I call non-Christian emperors "pro-Christian" if I didn't mean that they were tolerant of Christians?
>>225514301Easy, because you don't know basic Roman history.
>>225514364Right, so I didn't know that Constantine was the first Christian emperor even though I explicitly called him a tyrant who started the decline of Rome, in a thread about how Christianity killed Rome?
the only people who admire Pagan Gods are reactionaries like Nietzsche or a good amount of leftists (also reactionaries), even though Christianity was in every way historically progressive compared to Pagan Gods, for example, when it comes to the loss of fetishism (apart from silly things like communion)
>>225509240No if Carthage won wars it would collapse instantly , rome had its own luck because Carthage was full of traitor senators . Plus they worshipped satan (Baal) Rome did the good part of cleaning the land from Baal worshippers and keeping it Berber. In my opinion Rome died after the fall of the western part, Byzantine empire is just a Greek empire claiming to be Rome but it’s indeed the closest one to the old Rome.
>>225514439>even though Christianity was in every way historically progressive compared to Pagan Godsin b4 "but that's the Old Testament!" cope. Why is the old testament in the Bible? Is it the word of the Christian god or not?
>>225514435It's funny how you say Constantine was the beginning of the downfall of Rome despite the fact that Rome was split into 4 during a civil war and it was Constantine who united the empire as one again and brought stability that the empire hasn't experienced in decades
>>225514439>fetishism (apart from silly things like communion)
>>225514559the Old Testament is hardly part of Christianity anyways and the Platonic God is something different from Minerva, Jupiter or other Gods, who were known to be cruel, selfish, etc. In that respect, they're not really different from Jahweh, who was originally just one God within the Jewish religion
>>225510567>Just wtf? And 2000 years later a third of the world still worships himEverything about the Bible is insanely kino. That's why, why it will always exist as long as humanity exists, and why its the largest religion. Its the greatest work ever written, from a purely literary perspective alone. Christianity genuinely speaks to people and they convert naturally. Monotheism evolved out of pantheism, improving various elements, and Christianity evolved out of monotheism, out of Judaism with the addition of the New Testament, into something beyond a fear-based, doctrinal religion. It has those elements, as any serious basic belief system from modern atheist liberalism to communism to islam etc has, to preserve itself, but it also possesses something beyond "Obey your ethnoreligious God" like Judaism or Islam. It is better than the Greco-Roman pantheon which has primitive elements in comparison, clearly ancient characteristics from more tribal humanity, think of the plethora of pantheistic religions in the world from nordic paganism to greek to roman to indian etc, beautiful but much more clearly psychological and literary in its myths. Christianity has a unique potency to it, and it has everything. It's markedly more complex and more complete than any other religion frankly just in its basic structuring. It's 10X longer than the Quran, and it was written potentially up to a 1500 year period from 1400 BC - 100 AD. The Quran was written in a 23 year long period and it has mostly identical style throughout the text. The Hebrew Bible of course is 3/4 of the Christian Bible, but nonetheless it is clearly just a continuation and evolution of the same tradition and improvement which Jews separated from Christian Jews over. Of course they all have their extended oral traditional beyond written after the main work, but regardless. Additionally Christianity is radical compared to the other 2 in they way there is a centrality to Mary, a feminine pseudo-divine figure.
>>225514799the Bible is really boring for me
>>225509173thisChristianity is the distillation and concentration of the 3 great ancient cultures and languages. Transmitted across 2 millenia.
>>225514830Its a difficult text, it can only be appreciated under multiple layers of understanding and context. Likewise you'd find most classical literature boring Id imagine. Homer is still perhaps more easily appreciable. The ancient history underneath, then church tradition across the medieval until the modern period, philology, and the most important aspect is being able to emotionally connect with the symbols of Christianity and understand them. I find it difficult to explain to someone how to come to appreciate the Bible. I think to truly appreciate Christianity and the Bible you need to get it "into your blood", and then combine that with intellectual rigour. Even most christians, while they have christianity "in their blood" which is the essential element, ie. they have experienced grace which is a kind of gnosis, have various levels of appreciation of the Bible. There are definitely boring sections but, that aside, Christian mythology itself as expressed in the Bible and tradition is much more potent in symbolism than Greek or Roman. Once you're able to appreciate it it drags you in. It's like throwing someone into an opera house who has never heard classical music before. It will just seem boring because you effectively dont have the language or knowledge to appreciate it. "Its all Greek to me".
>>225509173TSMT
>>225511552they were real tho
>>225510567Everyone back then believed he was a miracle worker. Even the ones who were slandering him, who mostly attributed it to his stay in Egypt. Granted, people believed in miracles more easily back then. You can see legends about famous figures performing miraculous acts, but most of their reputations weren't built around it like Jesus' was.
>>225510339He's a saint in the orthodox church. Catholics and protties don't regard him as a saint
>>225510567Judaism was already quite popular among Roman aristocrats. The Messianic ideal was already baked in to Roman society.
>>225508868Rome deserved the fall. I'm glad my ancestors put an end to it.Fucking slaver scum.
abrahamic cucks are so fucking retarded it's unreal
