Its like lo and behold the sex that's been selected for having cute and prettier faces has those faces. But many women, though not all, will fall head over heels for a guy thats just high in a masculine trait like he's 6'+ or he's athletic or he has masculine personality traits, etc. Women arent evolved to select based on the same criteria as men. Like yes if he has a particularly handsome face thats going to boost a guy's overall attraction to the opposite sex but its not as important as it for men. Additionally there's the culture war bs going on, so people have no idea what gender roles are supposed to be, and most women have been trained to be misandrist to some extent so they will reply in these surveys quite quickly that XYZ isnt that pretty. Its also because themselves they apply insane beauty standards due to constant social media exposure where mentally the top 1% of the population of looks occupy all your thoughts, both male and female, and starve themselves etc to appeal to the opposite sex. There's a few women that genuinely wont like a guy that would be whats called traditionally desirable, but its not supposed to be that way and theyre usually whores anyway, and the number of women like that is massively overestimated.
