They really aren't a very practical piece of legwear for a man, if we're being honest. They're not warm or good for physical work compared to alternatives and they make you look like a hippie or a homosexual depending on the cut. The pockets are too small and the crotch generally too tight. And becoming the most commercialized item in the world certainly didn't help their coolness factor any. These days there is nothing more unfashionable than wearing jeans, basically.
