Did you know?

The German stock market is ONLY double the Swedish stock market. Country of 80 million vs 10 million.

Germany is a papertiger.

So what?

So what? And also fuck you
>>
Exactly. Most German companies are mostly mid-sized and small-sized ones but quite a few large ones are family owned private companies and not listed under the stock exchange as free-floating investment opportunities. This allows our companies to stay in sovereign German hands instead of being controlled by private investors and allow for long-term planning instead of next quarter-style management decision-making.

UK mogs both. European nations by themselves are a joke.

how does the average person benefit from the size of the stock market

Butthurt belters from neo-colonies completely hypnotized by Anglo-Saxon capitalist ideology. The stock exchange is literally a product of colonialism.

We are doing ok. We just surpassed Japan and as the third largest economy for the first time in 40 years.

How does the average Finn benefit from Swedish billionaires accumulating the wealth generated from the Labor of Finnish workers?
>>
>>225568008
we are gonna crash so fucking bad, even worse than finland with their nokia crash
politicians spend all the money on old people and military, while cutting everything else

I fail to see how this is related to stock exchanges? In fact it was exactly what I was talking about. The big car companies are all stock companies and their squandered our industry by sitting on their ass and caring more about the next quarter's divident instead of long-term sustainable business decisions. Meanwhile many of the smaller and family-owned midsized family companies that for example produce automated machinery for battery plants have moved more swiftly and are now selling their machines to Chinese brands that are setting up shop within Germany.

Only VW and Because the state holds stocks. If VW was private and not public this wouldn't be possible.

Russian stock market seems pretty shit.
>>
>>225567903
how was the long term planning done in shutting down nuclear, becoming dependent of Russian gas and losing to China in auto manufacturing?
>>
>>225568410
This was literally done by the stock companies because though? A stock company fundamentally doesn't do long-term business decisions, especially not with things like security and sovereinty in mind. They only care about the next quarter and that's how you get decisions like this.

Are you German? I am surprised to find a young German that doesn't know about Japan being a shithole. I get it when people romanticize it, but their last economic peak is older than the average 4chan user

Good, hopefully more for my state's economy.
>Michigan is among the wealthiest regions in the world. As of 2026, its gross state product (GSP) is $771.1 billion ($76,130 per capita), ranking 14th among the 50 U.S. states.[13] Michigan's nominal GDP is larger than that of every nation in Africa and all but Brazil in South America. Its nominal per capita GDP exceeds all but two nations in the European Union. When adjusted for regional price parities, Michigan's per capita GDP is significantly higher than the European average, surpassing the figures of France, Italy, and the United Kingdom.
