the zog thinks are to weak to be seen as dangerous cattle, after all africa does not have the capacity to protect their sovereignty since they are not industrialized, they are market economies just like latinamerica but worse because their public infrastructure and institutions are far behind the rest of the world, only Rwanda is modernized but the zog will destroy them soon

the problem is they're spread too thin across most of the continent, there's some countries with large enough economies and with a concentration of middle class people who could be potential customers, but most of the continent isn't like that (and no there isn't 30% of africans who can afford mcdonald's, even in the few countries where it exists it's seen as a somewhat luxury item)

mcdonald's is already in morocco, egypt and south africa, which are among the best countries for doing that, they could easily expand into algeria and nigeria if they wanted/were allowed by regulations, maybe kenya and tunisia as well, but they need to do this at scale otherwise it's not worth it, you need to be able to open multiple locations in a country, and have the demand for that, and be able to set up the logistics networks to supply those stores with ingredients, and have an amount of stability and favorable business laws to do it all,

when you account for that it reduces the potential countries significantly, opening one or two locations in a random central african country, with no neighboring countries that have locations, and no supply chains in place, isn't going to work

Yes, they really seem to go for higher margins. Any bumfuck hicktown here has a Hesburger but not necessarily McDonald's.
>>
>>225576615
Why no Hesburgers in Sweden ?
>>
>>225576650
Or generally in the west? I can only guess the market is saturated and Hesburger goes for scraps.

The competition is too tough and it would be a bad look if they shut down branches
