Third worldies love to do this weird thing where they'll be speaking their own language and randomly drop loads of English loanwords in.
Sometimes they'll just outright say a whole sentence in English in between speaking in their native tongue.
Indians and Filipinos are especially bad for this and it's very weird to see.

What issues are we facing currently? Objectively I can think of

>AI padoras box
>genuine threat of large scale war
>crumbling economies across the western world
>far left politics, rise or right wing nationalism to counter it
>mass third world migration into western nations
>wars currently affecting shipping, fuel and vital resources
>unknown climate changes whether human caused or not
>widespread incompetence across the board
>now the internet seems to be an enormous target for chaos which would cause unprecedented crises

Anything I've missed? Makes WW2 and the cold war look like child's play. The liklihood is at least one of these will be genuinely serious and actually cause mayhem.

It's probably a large contributor to the other issues. AI for example should have been treated like nukes. AI agents are open on the internet. Whether that's serious or now, who knows at this point. Seems likely the internet will undergo colossal changes in the next 5 years. War mongering is just western incompetence at this point too. There are no valid war goals realistically. Ukraine is unfortunate, they don't deserve it, it's all on NATO.

Thing are really, really bad right now.

Disregarding nuclear weapons, which you also missed, the biggest killer of humanity has always been biological. Covid 19 wasn't that bad all things considered, but it's something to keep in mind. If it had been a real killer, we'd all be in Mad Max right about now. Now imagine biological terrorism. Oxford has already predicted a 10% chance we all go extinct by 2100 because of it.

Also, moving on from that topic: drone swarms. Ukraine/Russia War, the wars in Central Asia, and some minor conflicts in Africa all point to drones being the dominate form of "warfare"in the future.

Also, wildfires and lack of water in general. Can you imagine once we start reaching water scarcity, what do we do then in case of a massive wildfire? Whole fucking nations and swaths of the planet are going to go down in a blaze after millions of years of evolution.

The climate issue I am clueless about. All I know is it's dynamic and currently we're going through a warmer period. It's not particularly bad in Britain. Grass went yellow, after months of no rain everything went green after a single day of rain. I'm sure it's more serious elsewhere. The concern in countries like Britain is the government being incapable of managing utilities because it's all for profit now. I know some states are fucked in America already, that's scary.

EU have drafted anti Islamic policies to stop islam from having any political power. Third world migration is somewhat minor and will probably solve itself. If it doesn't, the west becomes south africa. We're already seeing that in France. I don't see nukes as a major issue but war is unpredictable and stakes are high, it can never be counted out. War with Russia needs to be avoided at all costs. End of the day, muslims only can get away with what they do because they're given the greenlight, which neoliberalism does. It keeps bringing them in and empowering them. But neoliberalism is almost dead. What emerges from it's ashes? Return to nationalism? Even more extreme communism? Hyper corporate technocratic dystopia?

It is dynamic in the sense that, these things typically take thousands of years. The Earth will go through unbalanced periods that makes human and most life impossible. We are currently in a good period for life. The Industrial Revolution has disturbed the Earth's current balance. The whole idea of calling it global warming in the 90s, I think, has been a huge misnomer, because those who lack understanding have latched onto the "warming" part, and also because most of the worlds efforts to stop aerosol use has started a restoration effect on the O-Zone layer's depletion, which was the main source of the green housing effect happening.

With that sad, there are other factors going beyond a green-housing effect. I mean, every little thing that gets built, changes the Earth in some degree: a forrest is felled, a hole is dug, a lake is drained, a cave is mined, plastics are dumped, chemicals are sprayed and spilled, animals are effected etc etc. What is taken can never be replaced in our lifetimes, and any species of life destroyed in this process can never be brought back from extinction. To deny this is a sign of retardation.

In truth, if China or Africa were to disappear overnight somehow, most major things can be stopped. But at the current rate, it seems it's irreversible.

Well, in the historical world view sense of things, you can't rely on scraps of paper drafted today, to somehow dictate the future long after we are gone.

In the grand scheme of things, democracy always fails. Always. Wise men knew this and prevented safe-guards from a full democratic country in your nation, and mine too. But the West, being over-fed, over-indulguged, stuffed, and blissful from imperial successes which no longer exist, have since the 50s or 60s, given way to full democratic lifestyle.

I doubt now that full liberalism has taken hold, it can never be put back into its genie's bottle, so the only outcome will be a chaotic civil war, Latin America or African style. Most likely a corporate dystopia rises. I personally wish to see a more monarchal style return. I think that's a good mix.
>>
>>225737925
The rate of consumption and expansion is highly unsustainable and I am surprised it's continuing. Most countries scramble to expand, usually by importing 3rd wolrders who do not grow the economy they just inflate it. New cars, housing, energy use, food, consumer goods etc etc. Just growing a number bigger. It has to stop. It is highly unsustainable. If africa became civilised like the west, I think we'd see environmental issues worsen in severity instantly. Something HAS to be done about this and it will once it gets bad, and then it'll be drastic. These issues are all mismanaged and ignored until the adults have to sort it out, at which point it's already catastrophic.

Completely agree, democracy is such a farce, it's a big psyop and likely never existed as you mention. The establishment is now run by evil self serving neoliberals. I hope nationalist parties can regain control and focus inward. Nationalist generally do not pretend it's going to be easy and comfortable to bring things back under control. How anyone though democracies with 4-5 year terms would produce long term prosperity is beyond me. Whole system is flawed in every sense.
>>
OH YES SPREAD THOSE LIPS
>>
>>225738095
the main issue with democracy is that you're giving power to the masses who are all competently retarded
>>
>>225738032
100% correct on all accounts. But, identifying issues it the easy part. Coming up with solutions is the hard part. Obviously the easiest solutions are always the most inhumane. So, we must be humane in our solutions. And the only way to play the humane game is to invent a solution, which is what we have been doing for the past 50 years. Will be all kill ourselves before a solution is invented? Is one even possible? Where do we even start. Even if we invented such things as "biodegrade plastics" that just solves one issue. In truth, none of these things would be a major issue if population levels were down.

So, what does this mean? The only thing you can pray for is divine intervention via biology. A viral plague or disease is inhumane, but it is honestly the best hope of survival as a species.

Masses don't even have that much power because the establishments hold the cards. An elected government steps out of line? Banks have a melty, bond rates turn to shit and then you see the cabinet and PM fired. There's a reason burnham is doing nothing serious. Talking about parking tickets whilst the world is going insane. If he lifts a finger he's gone.

But I completely agree, the masses should hold little power. Democracy is essential selling a product every 5 years. Politicians are salesmen. Past 15 years they have been atrocious, partially because actually competent politicians know what's up and how little power they have in a sinking ship. Free speech is also retarded but that's a whole other issue.
>>
>>225738095
>How anyone though democracies with 4-5 year terms would produce long term prosperity is beyond me.
Well, the time between say 1750-1850, when I'd say the idea of democracy really took off, was post-Enlightenment. All hats off to these men of this generation: they were much wiser, resourceful, self-guiding, all-knowing, etc. Simply better men in all aspects, who could be trusted to rule themselves. It is amazing when you really think about it actually. Those from say 1850-1950 had a wonderful example to look back on. A robust middle class, and a not too badly educated under-class, formed from the fat of imperialism, perhaps tricked that generation into thinking that the future would always be home to an educated middle class. That it was okay to hand the reigns of rulership to the populace.

I think now we are seeing that those men from 1750-1950 were truly special. We are now seeing why populace rule was so rare in history.

It's difficult to think about because so many issues have fairly clear resolutions yet for whatever reason, short termism likely the core, they don't lift a finger. If fact they make it worse. Seeing indians absolutely everywhere represents far more than just ethnic displacement. Flying directly into the sun, watching our nations become paved over with houses. Basically every new housing estate is over 70% foreign. Yet we're in times where we need to reduce human activity. Soul crushing.

i can't speak about 1st world economies, but in latin america, basically every 'leftist' party has had to moderate their economic stances and move on to identity politics because of the narrowing profits of local industry as well as the aging demographics. Social Democracy can only work when profits are high, when they're not you're very limited in how you can redistribute wealth or improve material conditions for the lower classes without directly challenging capitalist rule, which these parties are not willing to do.

Absolutely love pioneers who explored and settled frontiers in north america, africa and australia. As you say very capable useful men. Largely we still have that in us. But it's impossible to express in sterile modern societies. Young talented men in britain have such limited scope of expression and many end up playing strategy games like hoi4 obsessively. They can't buiod an industry, they can't settle a frontier, they can't lift a finger without exhausting bureaucracy and road blocks. Add to that racial biases toward third worlders and a generation of capable men have been wasted. And now it's all crumbling. Even university is a fucking dreadful experience and men partake far less in education than women.

Redistribution I think is too focused on. Production of wealth is far more important. In Britain, the nation was deindustrialised, government essentially strangles industries and businesses. They want a neoliberal globalist utopia where everyone has a useless office job and everything is produced abroad. This doesn't produce wealth. Wealth is constantly removed from the economy, making everyone poorer and poorer.

IF you have strong production, the industries can pay people well instead of government taxing and redistributing wealth. Some things may cost more if produced and sold in the nation, but because it contributes to a healthier economy, everyone is richer and can easily afford it. It keeps money from exiting the nation. Some major industries have left the country, our heavy industries sold to foreign investors who closed the plants down, which forces the country to buy from the investors who produce it cheaper abroad.

It just takes a bit of work to ensure you can maintain industry, which clearly the UK can't be fucked with. Supposedly they're tracking and opening a few mines, but I'll believe it when I see it. It's too little too late anyway.

you're right, and i think the funny irony is that offices are completely outdated, relics from the 90s, covid demonstrated you can make like 90% of office jobs remote without a 'productivity' loss.

Vast majority of people are doing nothing productive yet they get a wage, hence in the UK so much wage compression. There is also very little to do that is productive in the grand scheme of things. War is likely a financial reset and a population meaure. Neoliberals need to regain control. The best way is a war economy and a bunch of dead men. It's psychotic but it makes sense. And they seem very keen to make it happen.

>"Ruby is one of the worst choices for young people to watch. Every time she gets anywhere close to being an adult (like going away for university), she runs back home to mum and dad because it's too hard for her. I don't have a problem with living at home because you have to, but she doesn't. She owns a cottage; she's rich (her parents are definitely rich). She pushes out her planner even though it falls apart (and that's if you can even get it).

So we will press on with developing clear, compelling and consistent UK offers, tailored to their needs and our strengths, spanning trade, development, defence, cyber security, technology, climate change and environmental protection. Because we know that in the coming decades there will be economic shocks, and climate change will have its baleful effects, and countries will want technology, finance and access to markets to support their development.
