in turkey, wealthy people tend to have lighter skin and colored eyes.

there is even a turkish expression, "rich hair," used to describe shiny, bright blonde, straight hair. even the term "rich look" is associated with having a fair complexion.

in fact, just a year or two ago, when a blonde actress was asked why she never played poor characters, she replied that she didn't look like a poor person

even in turkish series, while all the lead actors are white and colored eyed, those who serve them are brown average turks.

does this exist in your country as well?

you're just making shit up now

Yes
People in private schools barely look Mexican

not with fair complexion alone, but with arabs and jews specifically
if someone is arab or jew we automatically assume they're rich, that doesn't happen with blonde hair and blue eyes
>>
>>
kurdjeet is going insane because he has a complex about his skin color or hair color
it's sad

No

>Turks commonly divide themselves into 2 groups, "white Turks" are tall, rich, urban and modern and "black Turks", the vast majority, are short, poor, rural, and backwards. "White Turks" descend from the countries old elites while "black Turks" descend from its peasants.
>>
>>225886541
Things such as coloured eyes or lighter hair don't really mean anything that would sound as "rich" but the lighter skin here is just associated that you don't go out that much nothing much else (of course you would get more compliments if you were blonde with blue eyes or something like that since it's a bit rare here but you wouldn't stand out as "rich" or something like that)
>>225886615
They just look northern mexicans to me

>is there a caste system there?
There is. Your status is determined by where you are from. Being a muhajir(somebody who arrived from the balkans in the 19th and early 20th century) or being from Istanbul and western anatolian coast are status symbols. People from anatolia are lower and at the bottom there are kurds who are pretty much untouchables
Here is an old Turkish caricature. Guy attends a party and hears everybody bragging about being a muhajir and then goes to ask his grandparents where they are originally from. They tell him they are from yozgat(a bumfuck nowhere place from central anatolia) He gets angry and sends his grandfather to wander around in Crete and then come back so that he can brag about being a cretan immigrant to his friends

>>225887944
They are coping. We have a big Turkish forum here. There is a huge thread on it called ''you don't look turkish'' where people talk about their experiences of visiting europe and being told this by whites. They act like not looking Turkish is a badge of honor
White worship to this degree is fucked up when you think about it but it is how it is

yeah the racist anti-turkish soyjak he posted is really confusing you about if he is turkish or not because turkish people most commonly are racist against turkish people and kurdish nationalists are not racist against turkish people
this is totally not the most obvious kurdjeet bait thread you have ever seen in your entire life i get it

because we were made to believe we are white and european! It's funny, but for many years we saw ourselves that way.

however, today many turks have learned that people will make fun of them if they openly claim to be european,

so they try to distance themselves from being middle eastern, thereby indirectly keeping the belief alive that they are european

>Atatürk's cult of personality, also referred to as Atatürk fetishism, was started during the life of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and continued by his successors after his death in 1938, by members of both his Republican People's Party and opposition parties alike, as well as by himself, believing that he was "always right". It was established during his lifetime in order to popularize and cement his social and political reforms as a founder and the first President of Turkey.
>Atatürk's cult has been compared to the personality cults of the Soviet Union, and has also been referred to as "the most grotesque state-sponsored cult of personality outside North Korea". According to political scientist Mark A. Wolfgram "one can hardly have an honest conversation about his [Atatürk's] life in Turkey today, nor question the legacy of the Republic that he established".
>Widely considered a political religion "of grotesque proportions", the cult is noted by Erik-Jan Zürcher as being "by far the longest running political personality cult in the modern world".

It's not really a forum. It's a what we call a dictionary site. Somebody starts a thread and people talk about it like it's a dictionary entry without interacting with each other. There are several but this one is by far the biggest and the oldest one. One of the most popular sites since 1999

I was like him once too. I would spend hours arguing with Turkophobes trying to disprove them then one day I had a sudden realization. It just hit me. All this time I was just making up excuses. All my arguments were just me coping and the Turkophobes were right all along. That day I made up my mind to abandon turkishness. The first thing I did was to throw my turkish flag into the garbage.
Now my only dream is to leave this country, change my name, adopt a new identity, maybe get a foreskin restoration surgery and forget that I once was a part of this nation. It's the best I can do
Maybe he will also understand one day and change his ways but who knows?
