Mexico would be a superpower today if gringos didn't steal their land
>>
>>225894349
they don't need more dry scrubby lands. if mexico had to expand, they should go south to panama, and also assert control over the caribbean.
>>
Those dumbasses sold it to us, I drive through Buena Vista all the time and I always wonder how anyone could be stupid enough to give that away
>>
>>225894386
california alone would give them superpower status
>>
just flood southwestern US with coca cola and let the mexicans sail in the big cities
>>
>>225894349
>land that Mexicans failed to develop or assimilate the natives is somehow theirs
cope. Mexicans can't even deal with the land they have now, much less the Mexican Empire post-Independence.

they gotta start breeding
>>
Mexico and America are basically the same country nowadays anyway.
>>
It was an ilegal annexation of land caused by an unprovoked war of agression which was started by the lie that mexican government killed gringos in gringo territory. That was false since that territory was disputed between the texan rebels and México (Santa Anna accepting Texas secesión was null since no POW statemen could make those kind of deals)

Gringos have always been scammers thieves & pirates. Look how they kill iranian rulers & statemen without any formal declaration of war. It's not something recent, philibusterism is ingrain in the american psyche
>>
All that had to be done was keep Iturbide for at least 40 years, instead of getting rid of him in three years, would have kept the country stable and the military strong and organized. Everything went to shit after they got rid of him.
>>
>US invades Canada
>Britain: You motherfuckers. We will our armies there, we will torch the white house! Now fuck off and never return.

>US invades Mexico
>Spain: lmao who cares
>>
>>225894696
canada was part of the uk back then. mexico was an independent country
>>
>>225894640
After independence the country was ruined, and with the adoption of federalism and republicanism, the bureaucratic and fiscal apparatus that allowed Mexico to be the main producer of silver in the Americas and the entire Spanish Empire was lost forever
>>
>>225894589
>Gringos have always been scammers thieves & pirate
they've even admitted to kill democratically elected presidents and putting their own dictator puppets in charge, with no repercussions, no nothing from international organizations just because, and they dare to call other countries terrorists
>>
>>225894349
We'd be a regional power with delusions of grandeur just because we'd look big on a map. At best we'd be Canada tier, except we'd have a stronger rivalry with the US, despite them still mogging us in every statistic.

Mexico was a independent country that asserted its sovereignty by then. A similar analogy would have been the UK with the US, which they likely wouldn't have bothered intervening either.
>>
>>225895631
>At best we'd be Canada tier
I think you're underestimating how impactful that would be geopolitically by sheer basis of having a much bigger population alone. A hypothetical Canada with as much population as Mexico's wouldn't be easily dismissible.
>>
>>225894413
Without the US owning it, California would be just another poor mexican shithole
>>
>>225895987
And without a country of rich drug addicts neighboring Mexico, the narco shit wouldn't exist
>>
>>225894349
It would be just as much of a third world shithole, just larger.
>>
>>225896034
Idk if Mexicans would be rewarded enough to mass produce retarded crops that need shit gone of water like almonds, And later AI, so lake Tulare would still exist, grizzly bears and bison would still inhabit it, and environmentally it'd be better off
>>
>>225896040
Would have taken a free native state(s) scenario over americaca expansion desu
>>
>>225896116
the gold would probably make it worthwhile at first but after that it would be abandoned
Americans actually used some of that money to make railroads
they also speak English which allowed California to be home of international enterntainment
>>
>>225894349
Mexico would be a superpower if everyone would stop backstabbing everyone for at least 5 minutes.
>>
>>225894349
landmass has nothing to do with being superpower though, paquito
>>
Imagine seeing videos of beheadings in Oregon
>>
>>225894349
HELL YEAH
look at this nigga OBLITERATING the whyte fully armored knight

>>
>>225898911
yes it does because bigger is better o algo
>>
>>225896227
America started their railroad investments in the late 1820's to 1830's
Mexico started their railroads in the 1830's and 1850's.
If Iturbide's reign didn't end in 1823 he probably would started railroads around the same time as America, but more importantly he'd have a good enough united military to thwart American attempts at invasion. People forget that Mexico actually stopped many attempts before the successful ones that lead to annexation of the northern territories
>>
Truth NVKE
>>
>>225899127
because india, canada and brazil is such a super power, aye?
>>
Nope. We can own the whole universe and we would still be a shithole. The problem is spanish and indian race with the catholic culture.
>>
>>225896227
In modern times America can't build a proper bullet train while countless countries including Mexico built some and are improving upon them

Their destiny, denied. Will the ameridevil ever apologize for his crimes?
>>
>>225899495
For Brazil and India they are middle powers. And is very much because of population and size.
>>
Gepgraphically doomed to be the US' pawn.
>>
>>225894349
We conquered and owned it for 300 years. Mexico (New Spain) inherited it (because they got independized from us) and lost in 18 years. They are ungrate bastards and losers.
>>
>>225902061
>middle power
now thats a new cope that i have never seen before
>>
>>225902302
Japan is big too, through density.
