Who makes the better comics?
>>
>>225996937
Japanese how is this even a question

The Koreans just copy what the Japs make and the Chinese don't make comics they just cosplay anime girls (which is also japanese)

LoM mogs anything Japan or Worst Korea ever came up with and it's not even close. I don't know why Chinese are the only ones capable of proper world-building. Japs occasionally come close but Koreans are utterly incapable, they seem to lack the ability.

Is this really good in story?
>>
>>225996984
Seconding this. I love manga but donghua reflect an almost autistic ability to weave intrigue and compelling stories about various factions and moral ambiguity, which I really love.

Manhwa aren't even in the running, Koreans don't do moral grayness.
>>
>>225996984
It looked great, but it didn't really grab my attention. As others have said, the storytelling wasn't very good.

Everything seemed perfect: amazing animation, a cool world, and great ideas, but the presentation was poor.

I really wanted to like it, but I stopped after the first or second episode.
>>
>>225996937
Modern media is fucking garbage aimed at zoomers so all 3 are garbage
>>
>>225997009
I love it, it knows how to do proper cosmic horror while somehow also having excellent style, aurafarming and a god-tier power system.

>>225997032
Sucks if you stopped at just the first two episodes because it really rewards watching all the way through, including the three special episodes that help fill in some story gaps. No offense but I notice a lot of people who watch anime have trouble with it because they're too used to simplistic storytelling.

Japan is overwhelmingly ahead, no question.

China and Korea simply don’t have manga like Vagabond, Berserk, Vinland Saga, Dragon Ball, Slam Dunk,GANTZ, or Ajin.

Don’t get me wrong, Solo Leveling was incredibly entertaining, but it lacks real depth as a work of art. It’s like really delicious junk food.

It simply can’t compete with the very best of Japanese manga.
>>
>>225997194
Everything you listed other than Berserk is either childish crap or japslop. Lord of Mysteries alone is better storytelling than all of them. And it's a complete saga, unlike Berserk that will always be unfinished because the mangaka died.
>>
Don't waste your time with this stupid question. You know
>>

>Lord of Mysteries alone is better storytelling than all of them.

>The story begins in the year 1349 of the Fifth Epoch, on 28 June. Zhou Mingrui (周明瑞; Zhōu Míngruì),[9] a Chinese youth, transmigrates into the body of a university graduate, Klein Moretti,[9]. He attempts to find out why the original Klein committed suicide while also trying to return home. He has found himself in a world reminiscent of late Victorian England. Here, people with mystical powers are called Beyonders. After reproducing a ritual that appears to have caused his transmigration, he poses as a god-like entity and forms an organization known as the "Tarot Club". He later becomes an official Beyonder, one who is affiliated with the story’s Seven Orthodox Churches.

This sounds like ass

Chinese comics have dull storylines. They’re pretty but shallow.

Comics depicting the seedy underworld or incorporating historical elements are never published, and sexual content is taboo.
>>
>>225996937
i tried some korean stuff on webtoons and didn't really liked it. Tower of God was nice at first season but got boring at second.
>>
>>225997265
You’re probably just someone who has only ever read Berserk.

Vagabond and Slam Dunk are masterpieces that will go down in manga history. They’re every bit as great as Berserk, if not even better.
>>
>>225996937
Japan, and it's not even close. Korean and Chinese comics are like if manga was nothing but narouslop.

Korea mostly makes goonslop for pajeets
>>
>>225996937
In China, it is impossible to criticize their government or the political situation, and information from other countries is controlled and skewed by the authorities; consequently, the quality of both manga and television dramas become poor.
>>
>>225996937
Japan not even a question.
Chinese comics are garbage same with all chinese media it's just a bad copy of japanese media

I liked this, it's the first Eastern fiction I've seen in a while that didn't immediately feel like it's just Asian characters in Western clothes (it never does those stupid deformed faces that anime always does). It gets a lot of the Gothic sensibilities down and effectively makes its world feel massive. Korean and Japanese works kind of suck at this aspect, their worlds almost never feel like they have a lot of moving parts.
