Christians still pretend this makes sense

So, basically, it isn't monotheism?

It's Trimurti bro
>>
>>226000784
Nah dude, 3 persons, one nature. But remember! Jesus isn't 1/3rd of a god, that would be heresy, he's FULLY god, even though at the same time he's not the Father, who is also FULLY god himself. A = B, B=C, but B≠C, the Holy Spirit says so in the book of Mary's sandals o algo.

It's very easy to understand, I don't know why do you find it so difficult.
>>
>>226001675
If god = Jesus
and god = The Father
and god = The Holy Spirit

then:

Jesus = The Father = The Holy Spirit

Only way for that not to follow would be if Jesus, The Father, and the Holy Spirit were each only 1/3rd of a god.

I though it's supposed to be like steam, ice, water o algo

That would be a good analogy but it's called Modalism and is considered a heresy.

And the trinity was one of the earliest conflicts within the Christian church, see Arianism.

stupid christcucks have no idea that this is all kabbalistic.

the christcuck saturn cult was never as old and ancient as it claims to be, it's an invention by kabbalistic jews somewhere in the monarcy era.

It could have made sense if they went with the angle of "god is the one deity, and these 3 things are different aspects/avatars of him, but they all report to the same boss and are part of the same oversoul o algo" instead

isn't this the product of the various head clergy in the roman empire autistically argueing with each other with the emperor trying to prevent a religious breakdown with bizzare compromises?
>>
>>226003246
Yes. Mainstream Christianity is the result of Constantine sitting down a bunch of bishops together and forcing them to agree to a unified vision of Christianity, and at the same time hevaily suppressing heterorthodox Christian beliefs such as Gnosticism and non-trinitarianism. Constantine molded Christianity from an apocalyptic cult into a tool for Imperial subservience.
>>
>>226003285
Now explain to me the argument for Trinitarianism
>>
>>226003304
I don't know, the gospels made contradictory claims about Jesus, some claimed he was just the son of god, some claimed he was god, trinitatianism is an attempt to force those conflicting claims together.
>>
>>226003335
So if you don't know the argument or have background knowledge of the Bible what gives your argument against the Trinity any legitimacy?
>>
>>226003363
I just told you the argument for trinitarianism, the conflictig claims of the gospels, I can post verses if you want.

Even if I'd never read the Bible, I'd only have to point out how illogical trinitariniasm is to argue against it.
>>
>>226003412

Matthew 3:17:
""This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.’”

Matthew 28:19:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

2 Corinthians 13:14:
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”

John 1:1–3:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

However, John states:

John 14:28:
“If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.”

•John 17:3:
“And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”

John 5:19:
“So Jesus said to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing.’”

So trinitarians invented an elaborate but ultimately illogical model where Jesus is both god and human, but also subordinate to the Father, who is also god.
>>
>>226003617
It's sad how little we know of the competing early churches and different ways they tried to negotiate around the problem of Jesus the Son of Man, God the Father and Holy Spirit. After Nicea it all went to "It's Trinity, one of God's mysteries o algo"
>>
>>226003607
Next Jesus will be a trans man like the previous one and that's final!
>>
>>226003617
This is why we actually need to read the source materials before we criticize it. The first 4 verses you posted is proof of the Trinity, so we can clearly see where they got the idea and wasn't just a made up concept. Now for the 3 John verses you posted, this is where actually reading the Bible is important. Jesus was speaking in the position of a humble human servant and we know that because of Philippians 2:6-8

"who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross."
>>
>>226003948
The already accepted concept of Trinity influenced the translations, retard
>>
>>226003977
The translations rely on the Greek manuscript that we still have today. You can go back and read the the thousands of different variations and prove to everyone that the Trinity was just a translation issue.
>>

>>226003948
Philippians 2:6-8 basically claims that Jesus was putting on a humble act when he called the Father greater than himself, even stating that he himself didn't know the hour of the end in contrast to his Father.

If you want to assert that Jesus wasn't really acting humble, he WAS being humble, it was his human nature from where he was subordinating himself to the Father, that still presents problems for the trinity. If Jesus' human and divine natures were coequal within himself, that would make Jesus as a sort of Janus-like god, being FULLY two contradictory things at the same time, fully creation and fully creator. That contradicts basic logic. If Jesus is fully god, then what differentiates him from the Father? His human nature? But the Father is also fully god but he lacks a Human nature, meaning that Jesus' human nature is outside the godhead of the trinity, meaning it's wrong o describe Jesus as fully god, because there is an aspect of Jesus, his human nature, that is not a god, Jesus can't be fully god.

>>
>>226004072
We have. You didn't listen.

Also we have only fragmentary manuscripts from the really early periods. The oldest nearly complete Bible is from the 4th century.
>>
>>226004212
You're calling me a Jew for criticising your Jewish god
>>
>>226004172
You're confusing nature and person. Fully God means possessing 100 percent divine nature which the Father and Son share 100 percent of the divine essencs. Jesus assumed a human nature form to work in the creation without changing his divine essence. it just means 1 divine person works through 2 distinct natures.
>>
>>226004354
So, in a sense, the real Jesus is fully human, it's just that his body was possessed by god.
>>
>>226004226
We didn't and you're wrong. The earliest complete Bible is from the 4th century. We have early fragments that date back to the 2nd and 3rd century that contain intact chapters of John and Philippians with the exact same Greek text we have today. So unless you can whip out earlier text that say otherwise, I'm sticking with what we have now.
>>226004435
Try reading what I posted again.
>>
>>226001986
that you are unemployed and make constant threads against christianity
>>
>>226004546
The earliest fragments are mere sentences long and the dating of even those are dubious. There's a reason most biblical institutions require a signed declaration of faith for you to work there :^)
>>
>>226004668
Papyrus 66 and 46 contains the majority of the book of John and Paul's letters with both are from the 2nd and 3rd century, over 100 years before the council of Nicea. I don't understand the point in lying, Google is free and easy to use.
>>
>>226004874
Natures aren't percentages. Adding a human nature to a Person doesn't subtract anything from his divine nature.
>>
>>226004600
What makes you think I'm unemployed?
>>226004546
Ok, I read it again. If Jesus has two natures, one human and one divine, then Jesus is only partly god, since his human nature isn't in the godhead.
>>
>>226004931
But it adds an aspect of Jesus that is not divine. You cannot accurately call Jesus fully god, since part of Jesus is non-divine.
>>
>>226004962
Fully God means his divine nature is 100 percent God. Taking on a human nature adds humanity, it literally subtracts nothing from his divinity. I know you understand what I'm saying, but of course you won't concede because of you're idiotic pride. Anyways I'm done, I gotta go to work.
>>
>>226005055
You're not addressing the point I'm making. Jesus is an amalgamation of two natures, human and divine, Jesus' divine nature is fully god, but his human nature is fully not god. Jesus as a whole is only part-god.
>>

Do you know what we call things that are nowhere?

Non-existing.
>>
>>226006384
If Jesus human nature is inside the godhead, it wouldn't be a human nature anymore, it would be divine. Therefore Jesus human nature must be outside the godhead, meaning an aspect of Jesus is outside the godhead, meaning Jesus isn't fully god.
>>
>>226006438
The human nature isn't inside the divine essence neither is it a separate piece outside.

Explain how that's logically possible. Liquid water can't both be wet and not wet at the same time. If Jesus human nature could somehow be inside the godhead, then that means an aspect of the godhead isn't divine, meaning the trinitarian god isn't fully a god.
