Ich bin ein Hamburger :D
>>226009050Dull, boring city with stiff and rigid people. All you can do there is looking at ships in rain. And no one will invite you for a dinner. Protestant culture. This would NEVER happen in Munich!
>>226009123Munich people be like>I am Munchen. What are they Munchen on? Kebabs? Women bush??
>>226009050Everything good about this place you can find better in another city, it's incredibly unremarkable. the 115IQ of cities in this country
>>226009157I think you confused it for Hannover.
>>226009153München niggas be like"Come over for dinner with my wife and kids, but don't mind our 10 room mates lol"
>>226009123>his would NEVER happen in Munich!
>>226009050This map is so off in so many ways.>Berlin size>Deutschland written down right so it fits into BavariaAI makes stock photos now? Are you an AI bot?
>>226009174No, hannover is 25% worse at everything and somehow unique in that its completely and utterly unremarkable and soulless
>>226009178yeah, I wonder why Munich is more expensive, maybe just...people want to actually live there? Hamburgers should think about it with their 115 IQ
>>226009157They don't have Hamburgers in Hamburg?>>226009174Hannover be like>Hannover your head this is a stickup >:^)
>>226009257Because the CIA made all the companies move there oder so
>>226009363I think it only happened with East German ones, but Hamburg was in West Germany
>>226009178in real they be like "ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ"
>>226009393non-meme answer: the Americans put 10 times as many Gibs into their occupation zone as the Brits, so all the companies fleeing soviet occupation set up shop there. Also Bavaria was comparatively less destroyed by the war while Hamburg was bombed to rubble. Since then the Bavarian government has also been continuously run by the same ruling party for 80 years, so there's a lot of "connections" built up and "favours" being traded between the local politicians and big corporations there
>>226009512>Since then the Bavarian government has also been continuously run by the same ruling party for 80 years, so there's a lot of "connections" built up and "favours" being traded between the local politicians and big corporations thereyou almost say like corruption and bribery could build an advanced economy lmao, is that how protestants explain their post-war defeat to catholic regions?
>>226009588That's just bog standard corporatism.
>>226009050>>226009153
>>226009588It's great if you're in on it but sucks if you're not. For a while the minister of transportation for the entire country, and he intentionally made the train system worse and mainly allocated money to highways to help Mercedes and BMW sell more cars. Idk why the Bavarians still get special treatment with their CSU fuckery
>>226009050HAMBURGER!??
>>226009626and suddenly it was only possible in Bavaria but not in Lower Saxony? >>226009729> he intentionally made the train system worse except the Bavarian train system isn't particularly worse than in the rest of the country, you're making it upalso again, I could believe you if only big corpos had it good in Bavaria but average people lived poorly. But it's not the case, in Bavaria both business and common folk live much better than up north. Political corruption never works like that.
>>226009153
>>226009588They are so butthurt because Bavaria is a nice place yet they refuse to learn how to read and join modern world.
>>226009768Yes Hamburger ! :DDDD>>226009794I always figured that Bavaria was like the Quebec of Germany - a majority Catholic region that had their own identity inside of Germany.
>>226009967Bavarians are the only Germans with an identity.
>>226009967Catholics surpassed protestants long long time ago and both been surpassed by atheists. Including Bavaria.I don't get why people focus so much on the catholic aspect.
>>226010155I think its because I grew up watching Sound of Music.>>226010110Don't the rest have anything that makes them distinct?
>>226009967>I always figured that Bavaria was like the Quebec of GermanyKind of, though the difference between them and the rest of Germans isn't as stark, all in all they're also Germans, just spiced.
>>226010260>Don't the rest have anything that makes them distinct?Poverty, obesity and AIDS.
>>226010260>Don't the rest have anything that makes them distinct?I heard Berlin loves to eat shit a lot.
>>226009967Bavaria itself is quite diverse. Like there are also big differences between north and south Bavaria, to the point that many Munchers don't consider Nurnberg 'Bavaria'.
>>226010416Different to München, Nürnberg is an actually awesome city.
>>226010416>Like there are also big differences between north and south Bavaria, to the point that many Munchers don't consider Nurnberg 'BavariaThat's quite a tall statement from a city that doesn't have any Bavarians in it.
>>226010518this sounds...revisionist, to say the least
>>226010580You those meme videos about Frankfurt? It's full of junkies, it's so dirty. It isn't. It's clean and not full of Junkies. Tho you can have all that in Munich whenever you like.
how federalized Germany is in real life, does it work like US states so when you move from one land to another the police cannot chase you? are there notable differences in tax rates and business conditions?
>>226010641the only Frankfurt I've been to was the one on the Oder and it seemed pretty fine to me
>>226010673If I am in Frankfurt an der Oder, then it's safe to see that even that place has more Bavarians than Munich.
Hamburg is my home. Even though I was in many countries, Hamburg feels cozy. Never liked Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt or the sorts. In comparison its tiny but people are the very social and open tbqh.
>>226010731Munich is the honorary capital of Yugoslavia (in exile)
Munich was very important for us in the communist times because Radio Free Europe aired from there. It was commonly called "Munich radio" here.
>>226010868What was it airing?I have always wondered what western propaganda is like.
>>226010897im sure there was also a German programme aimed at East Germany, you can find it
>>226011175So it was in polish? But where the topics?Like what's exciting about it?
>>226011327>So it was in polish?yes, it aired in lots of languages, obviously not 24/7, there were just programs in particular languages>Like what's exciting about it?news and politics obviously, that was the only more or less widely accessible source of independent information (commies tried to jam it but it was never fully successful). There was also some culture created by Polish political refugees in the west.
>>226011522But was there no STASI in Poland.Imagine the state knowing that you listen to that. It's like asking for some involuntary castration.I always wondered why people would risk their and their families well being to receive something as pitiful as our state media.
>>226009794No, you misunderstand, he was the national transport minister and cut funding for trains in the entire country
Do they like to put hamburgers in their mouths?
>>226011906Why don't you say his name?
>>226011766>But was there no STASI in Poland. There was secret police but fact is that when Stasi officers came to Poland for 'exchange' (apparently all commie countries exchanged their secret service officers to learn about others' methods) they described the Polish police as very lenient and generally the political climate in Poland as much more free than in east Germany. Listening to Free Europe was generally banned, but after 1956 it wasn't very strictly enforced (for commoners at least, it was different for party members I guess), at least if you just listened to it at home and didn't talk about it to your superior at work or something. At one point the government actually accepted that everyone listens to it, so instead of pretending that it doesn't exist, they would openly just quote what Free Europe said and tried to deny it. But this way even those who didn't listened to Free Europe eventually learnt what it says. Though I know in east Germany there was a similar concept "Der Schwarze Kanal" so maybe it was a wider practice.
>>226011906first of all, Germany's biggest trainmaker is also located in Bavaria, so you could say they shot themselves in the foot this way.And secondly, it's not like only Bavaria produces cars in Germany
>>226011766btw, even though the radio's HQ was in Munich, it wasn't a German radio, it was mostly funded and coordinated by the US.
>>226012268>it wasn't a German radio, it was mostly funded and coordinated by the USWe created America, so basically it was our own money.
>>226012282how could you lost twice to a country you created
>>226012314Germany won.
>>226009123>All you can do there is looking at ships in rain.you can go to gay sex kinohttps://maps.app.goo.gl/c27puRgXXkrA4UL29

>>226012435What's his name, anon?
>>226012268I can imagine it's just a propaganda channel. So it has the standard message your gov bad, shite etc. we great you better with us we best.
>>226012449Giulia.
>>226012449Take your pick
>>226012457>. we great you better with us we best.yes, but before 1990 it was genuinely true
