Hackers are remotely destroying french hospital blood banks
>>
They also did it in greece to some butchershops or something kek, the losses were around at 300.000 euros
>>

>>226013734
you forgot to add 'Russian'
>>
>>226013779
Yeah that's more likely but honestly some things shouldn't be connected to the internet
>>
>>226012919
why does freezers have to be connected to the internet these days?
>>
>>226013894
Gotta have dem latest security updates bro
>>
>>226012919
>Bad idea (connecting everything to the Internet) turns out to be a bad idea
>>
>>226013917
this is no answer to my question.
>>
>>226013894
>>226013917
>>226013926
my question is why are blood bank fridges even able to go to 110C

how does that make any sense?
>>
that makes my blood boil
>>
>>226013779
This injustice cannot stand, we will attack their sperm banks in turn
>>
>>226013779
>>226014255
is it not possible that the hackers are north koreans?

EU regulation says freezers must ping their temperature to prove they work as intended
>>
>>226014196
Hans...
>>
>>226014136
sterilisation?
>>
>>226013894
so they can fix it remotely in case a hacker connect to it
>>
>>226014418
it was in the news here, our biggest blood bank is completely offline and monitored manually out of precaution
>>
>>226014136
They obviously can't, and likely just went to their highest possible temperature instead. 110C is what the hackers input, not the temperature.
>>
>>226013894
So that they can automatically send alerts to the manufacturer when they need maintenance for whatever reason, or other useless shit like being able to check if there's something you need to buy before coming back from work thanks to the numerous cameras and scanners...
>>
>>226012919
Based.
Fuck Frenchies.
>>
Cyber firm Claroty was caught modifying temperatures of devices in the EU just before this by the way. Company based out of Israel.
>>
>>226014196
bombing dresden again for this
>>
>>226015285
>make the nursoid or lab techoid manually check temperature every day
>prebook manufacturer visit every six months
was it so hard
>>
>>226012919
fake
no one would be retarded enough to connect freezers to the internet
>>
>>226016491
>forgot about how dumb gentile scum are
but I bet there's also kosher light switches with IOT so vOv
>>
>>226015649
hivan... they uncovered the vulnerability

And here I was, thinking I had bad luck because of the Nikke hack.
>>
>>226014418
then just read the value, don't allow to write it, simpul as
>>
>>226015285
You could just connect digital thermometers to the freezers and have the thermometer ping its readings instead of having the entire fridge and its controls connected to the internet. I suppose the latter makes remote management easier but it has security and reliability drawbacks
