That one is rotten. They contain whole fillets and are supposed to be stored cold.
>>
Also note how the can that isn't expired has a clear liquid. I've seen Americans eat rotten surströmmning thinking it was the real thing lmao, because they think it's ok to store fish in room temperature.

We only live once desu, Sven i would love to try even knowing that it has a remarkable smell and probably a very oily salty taste

is the smell really as bad as people say
i know americans can't be trusted because they think gorgonzola is disgusting
>>
>>226020146
mamma mia it smells like your nonna's pits
>>
>>226020146
Think it's ridiculous when people vomit from it, but that's hard to fake, so maybe it triggers some people more. I actually like the smell more than the taste. Taste is salty and fishy and a bit funky.
>>

It definitely doesn't smell anywhere near as bad as I thought but it does get pretty irritating over a long period of time and it was also quite hard to wash the smell off my hands

I eat pickled herring regularly, Americans and Scots are just weak faggots
>>
>>226021623
Or maybe people have food that is actually edible in their countries?
>>
>>226021623
Pickled herring is normie food though, we eat it here too and I think in most of central and northern Europe.
Surströmming is supposed to be a lot worse but maybe that's just for Americans with 0 pickled fish experience.

Pickled herring is delicious but we can't find it here in the states.
CostCo used to carry the stuff pickled in white wine. So good.
