For me - it's NYC 1920. So I could live through the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s and die somewhere in the 80s/90s and never see this shitshow world we have today.

>spend your youth during the great depression
>then get drafted into WW2
I'd say 1930 Southern California instead

remember you only learn about the few successful people who made through their life seamlessly and never experienced struggle (otherwise they wouldn't have survived, classic survivorship bias).

You could have been as well infected with polio and spent that whole life stuck in an iron lung.

idk man NYC 1920 sounds hard af to me
>spending childhood during the great depression
>drafted into WWII and Korean war during 20s
>have to stay cautious not to get labeled communist during second red scare
>dodge CIA MK-ULTRA recruiter
>watch kids become hippies, doing drugs, listening to retarded music and doing other retarded things
>all the while living in the highest crimerate POC infested shithole which is NYC

I wish I could be a teenager somewhere in western Europe in the 1980s, especially in West Germany or Italy. Peak time.
