I teach piano. a couple of nights ago I had a trial lesson scheduled for a kid but they never showed up. after 5 minutes had gone by I called and the guy (in broken english) said that he had gotten caught up with work but wanted to reschedule for the next night. the next night: same thing. five minutes goes by. I call. "we're on our way". 15 MORE MINUTES pass. they're now 20 minutes late to a 30 minute lesson. crazy. I pack up my stuff and I'm almost to the door when they finally show up. "good timing; I was just about to leave...". we do the lesson. (also this isn't relevant but this dude's daughter had the hairiest arms I'd ever seen on a child.) after the lesson, the guy wants to HAGGLE ON THE LESSON PRICE. I could not believe the audacity. I only charge $20 for lessons, for christ's sake. anyway, is this normal behavior in India?
