I will not be surprised considering they've been low coasting lately (aside from the EGOEGG story), they'll probably end Global servers first before the main like what IDOLY and Assault Lily did. And if it happens, everyone will blame Girls Band Cry for sacrificing DONUTS' two games.

They said they're coming out with a memorial book, but it's not the same. I'm actually surprised they didn't make an offline version given the game's age.

The fanbases for those two games were concerned that one of them would EoS for the other to survive. I guess having a common enemy in GBC is one way to unite them…

Finally got around to try out Sakuna game.

The combat sucks ass. There is only 4 directions, instead of 8 or more seamless directions.

The rice making is reduced to selecting a bunch of options for each season. You can also auto it or give one order for all 4 seasons. You have to wait 6 hours in real time for it to complete, and you can only watch the rice ads once a day to skip that.

As far as I know event is just a map of nodes to click through until you fight some bosses. There is no story.

Main story is at least fully voiced.

Gacha feels awful, since the memory esque thing is really cheap looking stills.

Characters have the usual upgrade options seen in gacha, with the only unique thing being using rice to tranafer paasives between characters.

Making rice also produces a summon, which you can use in combat for some limited times.

I can see why it flops hugely. The initial downloads from server are also not smooth, stucking at random percentage for no reason.

Any questions or corrections?

Once you hit below rank 500 regularly there's a real chance of shutdown, below 800 it's pretty much set in stone and you're just waiting for the announcement.
obviously there's other versions of games, but downward trends are usually not just happening on one platform.

Girls Garden Android version is so new that it's impossible to tell if that version just didn't attract anyone or the game is actually trending downwards.
TL;DR check again in another 3 months

Is the game all new characters? What happened to the old cast?

File: shoot.jpg (29 KB, 610x383)

It started as being a fully standalone project with a happy-go-lucky tone because the game director didn't want to just rehash muv luv Alternative again. He literally went on camera before launch and said there won't be a tonal shift down the line. But then even though that worked out great for them they got cold feet or something, so they've had 2 Alternative collabs within 6 months where the OG cast just dimension slips into the game, and the half-anniversary story chapter revealed that things are actually DARK and TWISTED.

So yeah, if the game declines from here on out (I don't know if it will), pic related.

Are the fans happy with it or not? Wasn't this the game where they said if it fails, that's it for the Muv-Luv IP? Or was that the previous one?

No clue honestly, can't be bothered to browse that community on JP twitter for 2 hours and all the comments on articles about it are 50/50
>Wasn't this the game where they said if it fails, that's it for the Muv-Luv IP? Or was that the previous one?
That was probably Dimensions(last one), it's already shut down and they kinda ended up being right. "Anchor", the company that published muv luv shit for the last decade or so declared bankruptcy and is being dissolved. Girls Garden isn't affected by this because it's being run by some random mobage developer their parent company lend the rights to.

>>50949502
people had different standards back then
>>
>>50949502
It worked for fate when the writers (mainly nasu) started to put effort in and released story chapters that were longer than a regular VN in word count. But that takes months and months. In between they release events with other famous writers that contribute, plus every new unit has like 5 full minutes of dialogue for the seiyufags like me, and the illustrations are also by famous artist. FGO has a lot going on for it unlike other gacha, who use literal who writers and illustrators, they don't have 3 different designs for units as you level them, and very few voicelines.
>>
>>50951704
>>50952591
The standards wasn't just different but higher back then. Now "gacha character design" is thrown around as an insult because design are uninspired and just slaps tons of accessories on the costume just so you can tell the characters apart. The writing is from literal who and some writing AI. The gameplay is generic all around.
>>
>>50953456
>gacha character design"
This is thrown at any attactive female character in gaming, and is done by burgers that play lootbox slop with brown characters.
>>
Any game without brown girls is inherently inferior.

>>50949261
>>50952591

The stupid thing is when these companies make SFW gacha and censor fanservice, then get surprised when their audience boycotts the new game while failing to attract non-fans. They keep shooting themselves in the foot.
>>
>>50954356
Taimanin franchise is going to kill itself on that hill. They just released another crappy SFW gacha game that no one ever talked about because it's another low effort attempt at riding the HSR train.
>>
>>50954808
Why can't they just do actual lewds then? If they knew that cutting out lewds would turn away their fanbase without guaranteeing new fans in return, it's like they are setting up for failure.

>>
>>50955231
Because the insane nips boomers suddenly had some grand idea of turning a well known NSFW franchise into some kind of wholesome kid friendly IP to expand their market. I blame FGO for this.

Compass has updated and new costumes for Al, Thorne, Adam, Noho and Violetta are now available. They can only be obtained via special card gacha - 50 pulls per costume ticket, 3 tickets for a specific costume or 1 ticket for a random one. Pricey stuff. I'm sure the maid ones were only 30 pulls per ticket.

Some new login rewards are available as part of the 20 million downloads celebration. This includes 2000BM given out on the first day.

Information on the next hero will be presented on the 24th. A small clue in the form of seven dagger emojis was given.

Does anyone here still plays Alice Gear Aegis? I've been thinking about starting the game since it will probably never get a global release at this point.

That's my guess too.
In my opinion a gacha game can survive by having 1 of these
Catching gameplay
Fanservice of any kind
IP rename
The gameplay is mediocre and it isn't clear how it works, the only guide we have is a mini-comic panel that appears on the loading screen, the fanservice is boring, and while we have a lot of Nekos their design except for a few exceptions don't really stick with you, and the IP rename... I think that the whole launch issue killed most of the interest that Nekopara VN players had and the only people that sticking in are whale gacha addicts and people who are just riding the train until it explodes like me. I just hope that the death of this gacha doesn't kill the whole Nekopara IP
>>
>>50967616
So why do you think the Engage Kill game died despite fanservice? Was it because it was Square Enix, or was the gameplay the issue? What if it was the same game but wasn't made by Square Enix, could it have lasted?
