Are you playing any fangames right now /jp/?
I played through Lost Branch and Arcadia. The latter I didn't do any of the post-game stuff in so I don't know if it counts as beating it but I can't be bothered at the moment despite it being fun.I'd like to play more but I don't really see any that catch my interest besides those two.
>>50965085Trying to get my first L7 in LBoL. Haven't even gotten to Act 3 yet though. I need to pick up more Elite fights in Act 1 so I don't get totally raped later on.The problem is that early on my deck is terrible, so those early Elite fights absolutely buck break me. It's a tricky balancing act. I typically play as Green Koishi or Yellow Sakuya btw
>>50965806Just made it halfway through Act 3 with Yellow Sakuya. I was able to take a couple Elites in Act 1 which helped a lot. The problem was that Yellow Sakuya tends to stagnate in the late game because throwing knife synergies are kinda shit. This can be rectified by taking another character's cards, but this is risky: you need to get lucky with pulls. About 80% of cards are already slop. Adding another character to pull from brings that up to 94%. Furthermore, you need multiple cards to pull off a synergy. Having one card without the other(s) makes that card dead weight.
>>50965085I gave up on the final boss in Luna Nights.I gave up on the final boss (pre-post-game I think) in Genius of Sappheiros.Tried Tempest of Heavens and Earth for the second time yesterday, not sure if I'll go back. Game has too many buttons for my tiny brain.I went back to Lost Branch last month after installing some of the popular character mods. Youmu was fun.Yorihime is currently beating my ass in Fantasy Maiden Wars. Not strictly speaking, but when she has a surprise revive mechanic in a timed fleeing mission where the bonus is to clear the map that's fuckin' bullshit, fuck you.
>>50966637>I gave up on the final boss in Luna Nights. The final boss or the post-game final boss?
>>50966659Reimu is post-game I guess? Inside the special zone. I got her to phase 2 a few times I just didn't want to put in the effort. I guess I could buy a bunch of healing from Nitori if I wanted to brute force it. I saw a speedrun keep her frozen and spam chainsaws at her and went "well that's boring."
>>50965085Replaying Genius of Sappheiros after actually buying it on Steam. It still holds up! It's definitely easier than I remember, though, and I can't tell if that's just that I've got gud or if it's actually easier than before. And yes, I'm on hard, but I don't buy it. IIRC Weekend hard mode was advertised like the OG difficulty, but it still had more drops and higher EXP gain, and that shit matters. But then again, I also don't remember Muenzuka being that much of a difficulty spike, so who knows? >>50966637>>50966676>Luna Nights final bossThe key to me was realizing you can just duck one of her worst attacks and get a ton of graze healing off it, and the earlier realization that Thousand Blades's auto-graze means you can do the same with any attack by just hitting it at the right time. Don't abuse it or you're lame, though.>GoS final bossMan, that was an ordeal of strategy. I think I still remember mine.
>>50967079I swapped to easy half way through the final dungeon since I wasn't having fun anymore. I got her HP to zero and forgot she had a deathrattle which wiped me. That straw split my camel in half. I wanted to poke around the post game since it sounded like there were some more characters you get but alas.
>>50967202Pussy. I can't recall lowering the difficulty in any game I've ever played. No living with such shame. How do you look at yourself in the mirror?
I played Cirno Lifts a Boulder yesterday. The level looked good, the music was good, and the gameplay was mildly entertaining. I suppose my only two complaints were that it was tedious to collect EVERYTHING (including the special collectables after you 100% the game) and also Cirno's skirt has just a black void under it, no pantsu.
Let's see...Mokou, Sakuya, Marisa, Satori, and I think Aya in Skydance for the first party. Alice, Youmu, Byakuren, Sanae, Patchouli in Poison Shield for the second with commander Nitori. First party gets two snakes or crocs for adds, either through RNG or from killing turtles and mini-bosses until they show up, then focuses only on the boss. Sakuya has the dagger from the previous stage, Memballe or something, it's strong and effective. Either Mokou or dodgy Aya for the tank. Everyone else just hits the boss as appropriate. Satori handles the adds with debuffs, leaf shields the tank, and heals as needed. Do need to get the status heal moves on her, which is a bit of an ordeal. Second phase, go all-out on the boss until it's almost dead, using Sakuya's time stop to skip a charging turn, then switch parties once spent. Buff up BEFORE finishing boss, hit phase 3 running.Second party. Alice tanks, Sanae buffs and heals, Byakuren buffs Youmu and heals, Patchy manages land, Youmu does all the damage. Youmu has the crit stance and the katana that's effective against the boss w/ high exorcism. NOT the Kusanagi, the katana tree is way better than the sword one. Buffs are attack and dark damage on Youmu, M. defense and either resistance or defense on the party. Boss puts out ludicrous amounts of damage, even through Sanae's buffs, to the point that you probably actually do need two healers, but so does hyper-buffed Youmu. Can probably kill it in 2-3 bombs, definitely 4. Use Nitori's camo move if it charges up. Vortex SUCKS, but Vortex always sucks, and it has so many moves that the odds are pretty good that you won't see it. Byakuren getting a M. attack debuff on the boss helps a lot, but it's not reliable at all.>>50967213I've been trying to get Satori good in the mid-game, and it's just not working. She's got her mass status moves, but she just doesn't have the power at this point to get the learning tree, a debuff tree, and stave's mana regain at once. She either burns out crazy fast or doesn't have the induction to reliably debuff, and she doesn't have her healing and buff utility yet. Very sad.
>>50967259You've gotta teach Satori how to use Constrict, dude
>>50966637>I gave up on the final boss in Luna Nights.Weak. This game is fucking easy
Nothing recently. I picked up Gensou Shoujo Taisen on release and didn't even get to part 2 before I got distracted by other things. I've also been debating playing the Shanghai.EXE rando for a while now but never got the time. And anons talking about Genius of Sappheiros takes me back, as I picked up the game for the first time since I think pre-Haze or whatever the original release's extra disk was called and got about halfway through before dropping it entirely.>>50970139In anon's defense, I'd say it's specifically because the game is piss-easy that it doesn't actually teach you how to interact with all of its systems properly. I can easily see how you'd get walled at the end of the game if you didn't learn how to abuse the Graze mechanics and Subweapons for all they're worth, and see how you can truly break the game wide open. Also, Thousand Knives.
