I'm personally still holding out for the "Grand All-Star Finale" that people have been speculating about in these threads since forever. Just a massive clusterfuck of ALL characters, ALL themes, ALL the best spell cards, EVERYTHING, slowly progressing backwards in time in a massive parade until the final boss is just a fight against Reimu set to Shrine Maiden Forever or even Theme of Eastern Story.(Alice can be the extra stage)
Touhou will never officially end. ZUN will realize the flesh is weak and will create an AI to simulate his decisions. ZUN will turn over ownership of the IP to the ZUNomatic 9000 which will be responsible for creating "official" Touhou content in all its current mediums, appointing artists for new manga, and legally protecting the doujin spirit until the end of time.The only thing preventing the AI from going live today is it's inability to operate solely on beer.t. ZUN can still make a good track or a character design, but overall quality has gone down and 2hus are not likely to become a phenomenon like they were.
