I'm trying to write dialogue for Sanae and I plan to give the player the option to choose how much they understand whatever outside world topic she brings up (letting the player decide if they understand early 2000s culture, tech, and whatnot)
Where would be the best location to place all the flags, functions, variables, and whatever? In her dialogue folder?

I love Eirin's short explanation scene after the Hourai event, makes things feel more connected
next I'd like some other characters to be able to react to it too. Plenty of girls bring up the idea that you'll be gone before them and I want them to know its okay, or even silly things like Yuugi bringing up how just once she wants to hug you at full strength and I want to let her

Started playing TW again on the anonTW branch, pleasantly surprised that my save from a 2023 dev branch still works, and I'm loving the additional clarity on how to get various traits and such, because hoo boy was i stumbling in the dark trying to get the lewd traits before updating.
I got a question on some other unlocks/events though. What are the reqs for First Menstruation for childlike tohos, and how to trigger the real doll medicine event that allows sex?
Is there somewhere I can look this up ingame? I did notice a guide on how to lose ignorant but haven't seen anything for the other two.

What's the reason the Ame no Nuboko is described as "Almighty?" It doesn't seem to be especially strong compared to other weapons I can make, and I'm seeing it as a Slash affinity weapon.

Eirin has a scene the morning after Kaguya's Hourai event where she apologizes to you for making the elixir again, and if she also loves you she explains that she went along with Kaguya out of her own selfish desires for you to live forever. She is terrified you'll hate her for cursing you like that, and its a touching little scene with her that lets you choose to forgive her or not.

Not gonna lie, the interactions in Eientei, especially with Reisen and Tewi is one of the reasons why I want to understand EraBasic for a bit and expand the recognition system.

I feel like Mokou should be able to recognize the scent of another Hourai individual, and depending on affection, react with sympathy, jaded indifference, or slight betrayal with a making up arc.

Reisen also making a comment about immortality should probably have you just responding with an open-ended "..." as if in recognition of your guilt or such actions.

Or Eirin should be somewhat dumbfounded how you are a Hourai individual if you Baitsa Dasuto but neither Kaguya nor herself know you deeply, so she would probably ask you how you got there.

Actually, now that I think about it, TW doesn't really seem to have any dialogue or interactions that delve on Kaguya and Mokou's rather complicated relationship. There's a lot of meaty stuff that can be done in a relationship dynamic between (You), Kaguya and Mokou.

The point is interacting with them in a believable facsimile of the Touhou world. For example, Kosuzu still hangs out with Akyuu on days off. You CAN cuck their little friendship time away by taking one other girl and ending their day together early, or if you're lovers with both, you can just literally insert yourself into their little playdate and have a 3P orgy. Your interactions with them have priority over everything else, but on their own, the girls still act like and primarily interact with who you expect them to in the actual setting.

I know TW is a bunch different writers and varying degrees of autism and all that. But its a shame that we didn't get that for Mokou (and her relationship to Kaguya. Hell, I don't recall her having unique interactions with Keine either). Especially how in TohoK, Mokou has a unique event where she rampages through your territory just so that she can throw down with Kaguya.

Life extension by a few hundred years and immunity from sickness/aging is a sexy deal I'd take in a heatbeat, but most people don't actually think about all the problems of true immortality like the Hourai.
There's a reason why letting their mental acquity completely decay so they no longer need to bother thinking or just literally going to sleep for the forseeable eternity is a common course of action for true immortals in fiction.

Can we, like, talk about Dracostrikes instead? Turning Kushinada's into a combat character? Maybe translating storyline instead?

Also I think it would be a good idea to give a comment or have a separate file with the translated name and IDs for the maps and locations, hopefully it will assist in productivity

Most commonly you'll see them explained as comments in the "Event" file at the very top, the extra events that don't match the template would go to another file. I think it's more about readability than performance, but don't quote me on that
In general you'd only want changes to files outside your dialogue's folder in very specific circumstances: Kokoro has her own unique interaction lines to accommodate the gimmick of the masks being her expressions, those had to be done in their native file. Also any extra resources go to their folder, but that's not text either

Hm, but you do realize that characters will very often visit the player's home area, too, right? Like it's very likely that you'll have Sanae sprint over to the room you just spawned in on day 1 to greet you, mere seconds into the playthrough proper. Or corner you in a very random spot like the pantry in Chireiden for example.
I hope you don't intend to write dialogue for every single spot in the game. Or at least not right away. Don't get me wrong, that sounds amazing and all, but I'm kinda worried that you'll burn yourself out if you follow through with this.

In ShinEraTenseiP, It seems like you can only summon 1 Persona from a demon/god. If you are trying to farm "Persona growth card", you should do these:

1. Making a demon with good skills at base level by fusing (It needs to have Megido/Megidola/Megidolaon & "Mana Aid" & "Mana Surge".).

2. Registering that demon/god in the Compendium for easy summon.

3.Turn that demon/god into a Persona and give it to a Persona user to use it.

4. Use its "Megido/Megidolaon" until it has 1000 exp & Rank 10.

5. Take it back from the Persona user and release it back to the "Sea of Unconsciousness" from the "Velvet Room" to get "Persona growth card".

Repeat steps 3-5 until you have enough cards.

I'm slowly reading, copying, and redocumenting the dialogue functionalities for myself so that I can have a better understanding compared to if I just wend ahead to blindly copy things
The amount of different things that the player can write a dialogue is simply staggering, truly a labor of love, even for characters with a smaller dialogue count
From what I've can see so far, I feel like it's not impossible to keep dialogue logic separated from the actual dialogue that will be printed out, having them be CALLed from another file to make it easier for people who just wishes to write
