Game discussion on /jp/ is overwhelmingly Touhou. Beyond that, game discussion is limited to a select handful of other games gathered in, essentially, general threads. I believe /jp/ should widen its horizon, so here is a thread for /jp/ games.
>>50995162Around December I had finished playing Shinsetsu Mahou Shoujo. It's a trpg, made in srpgstudio, about magical girls. I would highly recommend it to everyone viewing this post, it's a perfect game in my opinion. It made me happy I play video games, because I get to play this one. It's in English, for those like myself who don't speak Japanese. You can get the game by following links on its vndb page. It's completely free (besides the paid version, which has an extra campaign. That isn't translated though) . It's the only one of the developer's games to be in English, though another one of his games, Subaru no Kishi, was translated into Spanish by the translator of this game. I imagine that, eventually, that will be translated to English as well.
>>50995183November, while I was playing this game, I came across a game called Inner Truth. It's an rpg made in Unity that's currently in development. It's quite young, I believe, and it's been updated since I played it, but I found it a bit janky to play. Moving around felt awkward and unresponsive, and battling was odd. Your character can move around a 3D space during their turn, which felt fine, but you didn't select an enemy to attack, you just lined up your attack and if it hit it hit. When using ranged or projectile attacks there wasn't, to my knowledge, an arc or line to show the trajectory of the attack.I could feel passion while playing it, though, and I still check in on the game's development.
>>50995183>Shinmahosho is one of my favorite JRPGs. Right now I'm playing Kuon no Kanata, by the same author, and I'm loving that one too.>Other than that, a game I finished recently that I also really liked was Magical Princess. As a raising sim fan, I wasn’t expecting such high quality for a game that costs less than 20 euros (voice acting for every line, 2D models, hundreds of images to illustrate the conversations, etc...).
>>50995891Alice seems pretty cute. I've never played a raising sim though. Would you say someone would enjoy it regardless? What would most put someone off?
