I joined a pokemon club at my college and it basically turned into a weeb/nerd hub by proxy where we spend most weeks playing smash anyways
>>
>>50996178
those guy are really cool. it still feels kind of novelty reading stories about College. everything is all about high school.
I used to like kanako, then I hated kanako. now I think kanako is ok and a good friend.
all kanako's are useless!

can we be friends forever?

It was all right until the mangaka lost his goddamn mind. Not as good as Genshiken but what the fuck.
>>
>>50998084
Jesus they couldn't have chosen an uglier artstyle, even the late 90s moeblobs look better than that
>>
>>51000613
This really isn't the biggest problem about this manga
>>
>>51000677
It is for me, I wouldn't have read it even if it were good if it looks like shit aesthetically
>>
>>51000613
I think the art looks fine. The eyes are a bit too small and close to the forehead, but whatever. A "bad art style" matters less to me than the story.
>>
I'll save you the trouble of reading it
>most of genshiken cast grew up to be shitty adults (well this one I could see, otaku are generally shitty people)
>Saki is somehow married to Madarame and they end up making a kid
>he still acts awkward and insecure around her and can't force himself to make love to her ever since she became pregnant
>she casually blurts out stuff like how she hates having a mouthful of cum in daily life, even though he has never done that with her
>after watching his wife and her ex-boyfriend (Makoto) peacefully chatting at hospital on the day their child was born, Madarame's jealousy and insecurity hits a critical point
>he calls his trap junior who is head over heels for him and attempts to get back at them by having sex behind his wife's back, but because he's still a spineless lowlife retard, he ends up getting fucked in the ass by the trap instead
>the rumor quickly spreads among the peers, the wife instantly suspects cheating the moment she returns home from the hospital
>the ensuing drama keeps snowballing throughout years of publication
Japs love it btw, 10/10 according to them

what the fuck
>>

Never heard of this sequel until now.
Perhaps I would've been better off keeping it that way...
>>
>>51000797
Partially this can be explained by the fact it was published in josei (adult women's) magazine and women love this kind of stuff.
Another factor may be that in the very beginning the author lied in an interview that this series has nothing to do with Genshiken and most Genshiken fans simply haven't caught on with it (just like most people in this thread), though this is purely my speculation.
>>
It really grinds my gears when people posts lies in green text like that.
It really is impossible to Spotted Flower BE a Genshiken followup, because they are from different magazines and publishers.
Even then, besides simple parallels and references, nothing is the same. characters doesn't have names, lookalikes have new personalities. I would rather someone invent parallels with Yonensei. at least it would be novel.
Genshiken is still Genshiken, even with Nidaime fumbling it a bit.
Suzy won the Madabowl. the one who got cucked into a faggot by his own brother lost. Yoshit-take a shit. Keiko best girl. Saki is BASED.

This is cope, the author doesn't even bother introducing characters because everyone knows who they are, their personalities and backgrounds 100% match their Genshiken counterparts and they even reference facts and events from Genshiken all the time. Though I can understand clinging to author's lies, it must be hard for people who feel strongly about Genshiken to keep their peace of mind after reading this work. (As for me, I'm not a fan of Genshiken and I think it's hilarious)
