Some interesting lore expansion here, previous chapter gave us some neat ideas on how new spirit characters could be born with Madame Peony (notably how giving her a name immediately causes her spirit to manifest which tracks with irl mythology and touhou lore)
We get confirmation enough stories pass around about a ghost she'd become a proper youkai / full on Touhou character very cool, hope people use this to write angsty backstory doujins for their favourite yooks

Am with Mamizou here, I was pretty sad Madame Peony already passed on. She had a really neat design and I'm not above one more ghost yokai. Kind of hoping Part II have at least a neat replacement, since that is what its implying where it lies.

Though I am expecting change and progression in a Touhou manga, so...

Narratively, it was for the better (see the translator's comment at the end of the last chapter). Peony got a better deal than Yuyuko, who couldn't pass on even though she wanted to.
