Previous thread: >>50989536This thread is for the discussion of Japanese visual novels read untranslated in Japanese. What are you playing? What are you looking forward to? What have you finished?
How does totsuraba compare to other Crystalia games? I enjoyed it but it wouldn't hurt if it was 2x longer
>>51031290this is my main complaint for that game, it needed to be not 2x but 3x longer to be able to fully cover the scale of the story
posting this so i to listen to it
>>51031317I don't think it should've been that long, but I would have liked more on-screen fights at least.
>>51031318pretty good
>>51031290I think it's one of their best VNs, if not their best. However, the big problem with Totsuraba is, as you pointed out, that it gets a big too big for its budget and so there's a lot of stuff skimmed over or that happens way too fast, especially in the true route.Their other VNs don't really have this problem, they either don't have a true route or the true route is properly scaled so that it fits in the VN and they don't have to go "and then MC solved six problems offscreen"
>>51031269>What are you playing? nothing >What are you looking forward to? nothing>What have you finished?nothing
Heard Monkeys!¡ come up a lot recently, is it any good? Is it similar to sumaga?
>>51032240Yes, no.It's an ensemble game but with more of a focus on wacky madcap comedy.
>>51032243I can get down with that. It's only 20 hours too which is blissfully short for a VN.
>>51032246The vndb time is heavily misleading, it's not that short.
>>51032247It's about half the length of steins gate if the jiten character counts are accurate.
>>51032247>>51032270I read the prologue and I'm bought the fuck in. Karasu's voice acting is top notch.
>>51032240Where did you hear that? it wasn't even mentioned last thread.
>>51032356NTA but it recently came onto my radar too after mentions of it getting licensed. I wasn't interested at first, but I don't read enough comedy so I might check it out eventually.>following license newsYes I still follow licensing news, it's fun to hear about what's going on since I'm passionate about VNs.
>>51033048I'd follow license news more if it could bring brands back to life and by the looks of it that's not gonna happen.
watched the ginga tetsudou 999 movie and now i want a space travel vn, maybe with some war in the background as spice
>>51033123I like to think it helps at least a little bit in a general sense. After all, with how very niche the industry is, every little bit can help. And even if it's mostly outliers that find big success, maybe that can bring some more eyes to smaller releases too.
>>51033307In case of monkeys and Harukaze i dont think it will help. Consult last thread. Hato is making doujin shit with AI art. They also already have noratoto & 2 licensed and that didn't get noratoto 3 out of the limbo. An acquisition from the Chinese would help them more than licensing shit to the undeserving west.
>>51033624>Hato is making doujin shit with AI art.based
>>51032247>>51032246jiten says 348,560. so 20 hours is accurate if you read 17.5k/hour. which is a reasonable pace even for a game with lots of voices.voice protagonist does make it harder.if you can't read that fast you probably constantly bitch about pacing and drop things
>>51034120Any good ways of finding out your reading speed besides judging from full playtime of a specific game? I skip h-scenes if they aren't interesting so this would throw off the timing.
>>51034261judge from an hour or two of a specific game. just need to hookcuck for it
>>51034261voice acted lines are about 14kthat's why it's the default speed for jiten
>>51034270Makes sense. I haven't used one in years so that sounds like a pain, but I might give it a try.>>51034315Oh, good to know.
>>51034261You can use a texthooker + a page likehttps://renji-xd.github.io/texthooker-ui/
How do I get a BISHOP game to go after I change the directory? I was able to figure out a way once, but I didn't do it for all of them and now I forgot what I did.

How do I access the Rail route in Dirty Prison Ship Re? Seiya-Saiga doesn't have a guide yet and Butcha-U said it should be the second route you do.
>>51038743https://seiya-saiga.com/game/clockup/injuukangoku_re.htmlI'm just an idiot, nevermind.
