She's supposed to be banging the drumsticks against her shoulder, but it just looks like she's fanning herself.

Adding a line of transparency to more clearly define the drumsticks probably isn’t going to work in this art style at this resolution, so I’d try making her arm jut out more forward if you want to better define the motion as drumming. If this is a sprite for a game or something keep in mind that a couple of ambiguous animations isn’t the end of the world, context and bias can help fill in ambiguity and if you scrutinize a lot of classic 8-bit games you’ll probably be able to find many examples of professionally made ambiguous animations. When working with animation your own work can look much choppier to you than anyone else because you know every frame by heart, if you come back after a few days it can look way smoother.

>>51073536Movement feels to choppy/fast to be a fan, usually character fanning animations also tend to be more calm instead of boobbing to the beat.If anything it would feel more natural to bang just one stick or the opposite shoulder but the animation looks pretty good and finished to me.I think that anyone that has seen Raiko or sees a portrait of her with drumsticks will not be mistaken (unless high/drunk AF or something).Also sometimes when people misinterpret sprites it feels a bit forced. So I wouldn't worry too much (or maybe some people have really bad eyesight or phonescreens are too tiny idk).

She just looks like a normal woman with small breasts. The fact is that his art has been getting worse and all the toxic positivity here isn't going to help anybody and feels rather pointless. Another updoot saying "omg clownpiece sex" might give him a small dopamine rush but otherwise there's no point in saying it except to stroke his ego more, which I am not interested in participating in. Hecatia's hand looks horrible and it was the first thing I noticed; her fingers go straight into the back of her hand. The whole piece looks like a trash rush job. Their expressions aren't good, CP looks retarded and crosseyed, it just looks... soulless and dead. There's no weight behind any of them and they have little definition, for example Hec's arm looks like a definitionless flesh tube which is really weird with the detailed painting style. There are many careless and pointless strokes, for example, why is there a circular highlight stroke on Junko's thigh? Junko's bathing suit line stops under her upper arm, it doesn't wrap around her back. Plenty of small things like that add up to make the whole piece look bad. It does not spark any joy when I see the drawing. It's uninspired and feels thoughtless, just another topical drawing shat out for updoots. I'd rather get one high quality piece a month than 20 low quality crappy pieces that look like shit smeared on the screen. It's sad because he can clearly do much better, but he's either too lazy or too thoughtless and careless and consistently pumps out trash like this. I have 103 fatigue, all I see from him are these pointless rush jobs and shitty oekaki drawings. It seems as though he is completely uninspired and it shows. I'd rather look at literally anyone else's art in these threads at this point, for at least they try and put effort into their drawings and aren't content wallowing in mediocrity because they're happy with the dopamine rush of people constantly complimenting them.
