Does the CuChu gear perks make the Persona class feel a lot better? Right now I'm on my third game in a row of Summoner with a Dwarf'd MisstletainnX usable at Level 1 and now it's hard to even envision another main charcter. But this Cu Chulainn setup is one of the things that is catching my eye. Cu Chulainn's full set plus the Gae Bulg gives (if I rememeber right; I'm away from my computer right now) Deathbound, Regen L, Dark Might, Endure, and most importantly, Pierce, plus normal attacks have a chance of landing Charm if a Persona user holds the Gae Bulg. I love the idea of being a Persona user but usually the fun pitters out around the midgame, but being able to switch between three demons who all will get Pierce for free and there's a free Arm slot to slot in Shin Draupnir for Invigorate Large, it's enticing to say the least.

I've tried using the bottle linked on the eragames wiki as well as making my own per that page's instructions, using the latest release of the game from gitgud, but the program simply doesn't launch with so much as an error to work with. My take: you absolutely become a very strong combat force but it's still not enough to warrant losing all the perks just making your MC the Summoner gives you in my opinion.The big surprise to me was Dark Might was buffed in this game to make it so ALL Physical damage became auto-crits during a New Moon, so if you're willing to walk back and forth for a bit before a boss fight/going home for a Request or Event encounter you'll suddenly be doing a lot more damage. Even though I dropped from a Level 70 Weapon to a Level 40 one I was doing so much more damage during important fights. And normally when I played Persona User I just stuck to the default, but with all those bonus skills floating around (small correction about my list, Regen L is actually Auto Taruka amd Endure is actually Enduring Soul), it actually got me to make a second Persona for the first time.But I still prefer Summoner, even if I don't include how insane Mistletainn II makes them. The only truly mandatory roles in the party are the MC and any Level 3+ Summoner, and I just prefer combining them and having five party slots for abolutely anyone I want. In particular I paused a Summoner D playthrough to test this, so in one slot I had my MC, Summoner, a medic (through the cobination of Repair II, Hot Standby, Divine Blessing 2, and Tool Knowledge for revives), and an okay damage dealer who could also somewhat consistently disable with Pierce and Mistletainn II's row-wide Bind. To me that's a lot harder to replicate compared to "pumps out a shit ton of damage."

It's that it's hard to read, especially when there's little to no comments and where they do exist they're in Japanese, variables and functions are given names like KOJO_17 and CFLAG:30 instead of anything descriptive and all functions are scattered across thousands of files with similar naming. Not to mention there's no scope so any variable could be adjusted or any function injected into from anywhere. Good fucking luck making any sense of that.
