People who had access to Exhentai can lose access to it for a wide variety of reasons, like being on the same IP range as a banned user. There was a popular mod called Maximum Joe; a few days before the admin announced his death, he was doing the usual, which was denying the fact that not everyone has equal access to public galleries on Exhentai, so someone let him borrow an account that couldn't access some public galleries, and he was disappointed that the admin had been lying to him the whole time, in fact, the admin continued lying to him about it afterwards.
