>>51223544You know i actually really like this DLC, but i always spec into melee weapons because i like playing hybrid builds. I cant imagine how it feels to play it if you put all your points into energy weapons or something.
>>51223996>Energy weaponsThen it gets piss easy. Holorifle plus Energy ammo perk lets you steamroll the whole thing.
>>51224011Huh, i always simply punched through my way in this lol.So i guess only gun/explosive players are fucked?
>>51224014The Dog perk that kills Ghosts for good works on guns, plus explosive already gib them.
You know for all the grimsokyo stuff I don't think I've seen any '90s-style grim stuff. The PC-98 games are basically the pinnacle of '90s fantasy moe so maybe it's out of a lack of material to work with, but also that's all the more reason to flip it on its head with the kinda stuff that was popular at the time. And not even super edgelord level either, one of my favorite games artistically is the first Donkey Kong Country. The rest of the series went very fantastical and "cartoony tropical" for lack of a better description, but there's something very special about how grungy the first game was made to feel, with how run down everything is made to feel and all the industrial-influenced and kinda forboding music. Now, Donkey Kong is about a big sweaty ape in the jungle, Touhou is about girls in pretty dresses. But you could very much make Gensokyo feel "ghetto" by the same token, with a lot more useless outside world trash or hell even making Gensokyo like somewhere like Vietnam. Could actually work really well for a Fallout-type setting, too -- because of the aggressive vegetation, yokai are naturally hidden a lot better and more ferocious (plus the conditions making them more dangerous also making them feed off of way more fear) like the ghouls in the underground or yao guai/deathclaws . Not just humans but named characters too would be a lot more insular (and out of their own safety, not just disinterest like the case normally is). Could have them at each others' throats more whenever they have contact with one another over land, food, etc., and some characters basically just forming roving raider gangs.

>>51223544>>51224310A top-down simple sprites and text RPG in the vein of Fallout 1/2 is personally my dream Touhou game.
