I can't sightread and the last I played recorder was 15 years ago so absolute beginner. Youtube tutorials seem gay to me. I only remember 4 touhou songs on piano by memory, without bass. The thing is that I have to apparently translate musescore Piano sheets that have the wrong bpm probably, with only the melody I need and actually know fingering. Is there a easier way? does anyone play Wind?Does ai scanning sheet pngs actually work
I'm sure the /mu/tants will disapprove, but IMO the easiest method is to pretend it's a one-string guitar and write it out as tabs. 0 is lowest note, 1 is a semitone up, 2 is two semitones up, etc. You have to memorize the fingering for each number. Advantage is you can easily transpose by adding/subtracting from the numbers, and you can play the same tab on a different size recorder and it automatically transposes. Disadvantage is real musicians will look down on you because tabs are too easy, even though they're actually older than sheet music.
>>51228422im kinda retarded to get this but i wanna try. I should clarify i am still kinda interested in sheet music eventually.when I do non-realtime music stuff like vocaloid and memes (not even any vsts yet) Ive never even learned key signatures. I just stare at a piano roll individually. Tho it's probably best to just practice period.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUcCFwLI9p4 i found this but it still looks confusing
man it also feels weird in a way I can whistle well and also have a vocal range. obv i know it's different.
>>51227527try learning music theory first
>>51235762no
>>51235791stop fapping to lolis and do it
>>51235795>>51235762What are good resources? I can play instruments badly but I dont even know all the kinds of chords that exist.
>>51227527I would say at least try and commit to learning how to read music. Children learn the basics the first couple lessons of band while quickly being thrust into actually playing to reinforce the basics to build the read+play synch. It's not something you do in isolation vs playing. You're simply not gonna make it in a reasonable time frame if you can't handle lessons. Playing by ear is possible and plenty do it, but it's a skillset that takes much longer to adapt to.
>>51236941I can't read sheet music for the life of me
>>51237674i did when i was 9
>>51237674You're gonna need to if you want to actually get anywhere. I've never understood this mindset of>i want to get good at X>being good at X means i need to Y>Y is difficult for me>oh well, i guess Y is literally impossible for me>i won't do Y>still bad at X>how can this be?!>eventually give up entirelyI always rolled my eyes in grade school when they talked about a "growth mindset" versus a "fixed mindset," but now I understand.
