I have a few concerns regarding AQ's new visuals.1. Darker tones blend in on SNS making the members' icons pop a lot less. I've had to do a double take to check who was posting on occasion. This is normal for any icon change, but these icons really don't stand out like the old ones.2. The loss of the smile and a more serious demeanour completely switches the group's vibe on taiban posters. They're fine for a one off visual, but making it your key visual like this makes it so newcomers may reconsider giving you a chance if you don't seem "fun" at first glance.3. I'm less concerned about this one since it's Japan, but foreigners could easily misundertand the intent behind the makeup and see it as blackface. I don't think there's going to be any controversy, but it seems like an unnecessary risk.4. Simply put, it kind of looks ugly. Again, as a one off visual, it's fine to look a little gritty, but making it the jacket of your 2nd full album is going to hinder growth potential.
