A thread for discussing and posting pics related to Japanese women's pro-wrestling.What is pro-wrestling? Pro-wrestling is, for lack of a better term, a fake sport. Pro-wrestlers pretend to fight in order to put on an entertaining show for the audience (who is aware that it is all just a show). The goal is to either pin one's opponent to the mat for a count of three or put one's opponent in a hold so they will submit. Matches take place in a wrestling ring, but the action can often leave, at which point the ref, at his discretion and depending on the rules, might start a twenty count after which anyone still outside the ring will be disqualified. Wrestlers compete for various title belts which reflect their status in the company. Since wrestling is fake and everyone knows it is fake, wrestlers are not trying to put on a convincing fight, but rather an entertaining one that tells a story much like you might see in a movie. It's a live action show.
