Going 'everything i don't like is the devil' would work out only slightly better. Islam would honestly have a better chance because their concept of the jinn would allow youkai to exist and a few kami could adjust to being benevolent or muslim jinn. Judaism doesn't really have a desire to convert pagans.

Iesua comes to Gensokyo to bring the light of salvation to the human villagers forcibly kept in the darkness. As she gains believers, the youkai and old gods become rapidly enfeebled.
