I dunno what gas is released as the molecules get spread through water, but it adds a foam layer like a quarter the solution's volune on top. Pouring it on top of the sparse lube I made in the cleaned soap bottle was fairly miserable: one has to pour slowly, with a significant height difference so the flowing string gets thinner and more predictable. But, if you happen to accodentally wander the poured lube string on the rim or outside it, the surface tension will direct the flow to miss, including the big globs. Thankfully, kitchen paper towels come in very handy, because with only hands, strings of lube get left everywhere.
