I always assumed it was because of her fanon otaku fixations which in turn are stereotypically for young males, which means that she of course wants to fuck the boys that the things she likes are made for.
Which is an odd jump considering otaku who like touhou are themselves constantly assumed to be pedophiles but whatever, she makes a good shotacon and is the kind of girl I crushed on really hard when I was a kid so I like it.

let's assume that sanae finished high school before the moriya shrine was transported into gensokyo, that puts her at 17 or 18 years old in 2007, when mountain of faith happened
this puts her birth in the year of our lord 1990 or 1989, therefore sanae would be 36 or 37 years old in the year of our lord 2026
