Buzz Rhythm editionThis is a thread to discuss all-female Japanese bands that play their own instruments. That certainly includes Koiai, Band-Maid, Hanabie, Hagane, Lovebites, NEK!, East of Eden, Scandal, Bridear, PaleNeO, Lonesome Blue, and what is left of Nemophila and STMLT.Individual female instrumentalists and singer-songwriters are also welcome. As for the frequently asked questions:>why on /jp/?Because this thread is about Japanese popular culture. Also, the subject is not too far off from other 3D content on /jp/. A good number of artists discussed here are also former (or even current) idols, gravure models and voice actresses.>The band I like includes men. Are they allowed in this thread?Just post about the female members then.>Is this thread only about metal? No, go ahead and post about pop and jazz if you feel like it.

PaleNeO has a regular column in Gekirock - the sixth installment, about songwriting, was just posted. It looks like Reoto does much of the composition and she and Hohomi split the lyrics.https://gekirock.com/column/paleneo/202610.php
>>51343150Hanabie fans are huffing the copium about Chika's picture being used for the announcement. What caught my eye was that Hanabie called this show a part of their world tour. That should mean we get some shows in Europe and Asia as well!
>>51344168reoto so cute
Best Yukina will perform with a couple of foreign tumblrina revival artists. It seems fitting, since she herself is stuck in the endless /cgl/ loop of white girls trying to look like Japanese girls trying to look like white girls trying to look like Japanese girls and so on.
>>51344168Do you think PaleneO has a shot at profiting from next year's hiatuses and quitters?
>>51346415I don't see why not - they create new material and tour regularly, are fun and eclectic, and thanks to some early covers have some awareness from the Band-Maid fans. Not having a drummer in the band will be a handicap they will have to deal with, however.
>>51346497>Not having a drummer in the band will be a handicap they will have to deal with, however.Maybe they can convince Natsumi to tour with them. She seems to be quite open to such gigs lately.
>>51346557Possibly - I am waiting to see if LustQueen decides to raise their activity now Fami is also available for a year, and Natsumi just worked with them. Sakitee from STMLT is also available and may be a good fit as well. And they've worked with Kanako before so if they could convince her to join...
As for bands stepping up in 2027... I think Hagane is ready to take on the role as lead melodic power metal band in Lovebites's absence, and Nek! should take advantage of Scandal's retirement. I don't see any band, not even Nek!, taking Band-Maid's spot, they're too different from anyone else, but I can see most of the other bands listed in the OP getting more time on larger stages than before as the venues need someone. And of course there's an entire second tier of all-female bands looking for a chance, and who knows, someone entirely new may break out.
>>51346812Hagane will take Lovebites' spot for sure. Zilqy will try and fail to do the same.I don't think a lot of Scandal fans will get into NEK!. NEK! is too much of a technical band for that.Caramel Candid will continue to blow up probably, but Scandal and Band-Maid fans are not really the audience they are succeeding the most with.
