Worst song of that era
How big are Mayumi's breasts and do they have nipples?

>>51348108she's so cute. i wish she wasn't from 17.
>>51350903Honestly fucking true. Being in WBaWC shafted her massively. I like her spellcards, but she's in a mechanically fucked game where instead of planning and dodging you're meant to cheese all of it. I like her design, but her ZUNart is nearly bottom of the barrel, the hair in particular. I like the melody of her theme, but it's badly paced, raises the key for no reason and uses samples from 17, and that means it's a miracle it doesn't instantly sound like dogshit. I like her general concept... but it's gone nowhere because it's modern 2hu.
>>51350954Eh, I still think both her theme and her fight are pretty fun. The Hypers make it a little overkill but I like that Youmu's slashes have a nice advantage and for the rest of the cast, juggling between killing bothersome Haniwas or going for a quick kill on Mayumi can be neat. Not a fan of her nons,
>>51350954i really love haniwa and i've been waiting for a haniwahu for a long time. the one from len'en is alright but i really love how mayumi is modeled almost 1:1 off the little clay soldiers. i can forgive the hair in her ZUNart knowing it's meant to resemble a helmet (picrel)WBaWC's visibility issues make it genuinely painful for me to play and i didn't enjoy her fight (the haniwa summons are cute but not really fun to dodge) and i found her theme underwhelming as well
>>51350954Mayumi in the next fightan trust the plan
>>51350988Youmu having a different gameplay pattern is good, but when the game begs you to cheese it, a lot of gameplay depth like this is erased. People hate UFO tokens but I've had much more fun with them, even if micromanaging them on lunatic in later stages makes me wanna pull my nails out, compared to collecting beast tokens and ceasing to play the game for a couple seconds or outright skipping spellcards. WBaWC is a tug of war between weak dicked unpowered shots and brutally overpowered beast mode shots, and Mayumi's fight could be interesting, but most of the time I get there, I end up trying to juggle tokens instead of actually engaging with the screen. It's a shame. Her attack style would be great for a photo spinoff... If we ever get one again.>>51351024I know her hair was meant to look like a helmet, and again, her design idea is fantastic, it's just that ZUNart doesn't cut it. To give you a better idea of what I'm critiquing, take a look at the actual ZUNart and note how you can pick it out that it's meant to look like a helmet, but it's so crude that it doesn't look like neither helmet nor hair, it's almost like an awkward leather cap. Compare it to various fanart that perhaps loses some of that helmet resemblance, but improves the overall look tenfold. Mayumi can be incredibly pretty, cute, stylish and even brutally threatening in good fanart and her hairstyle plays a key role, but this instance of ZUNart is just, man, it's just ugly. And it's a shame, since I will admit that her armor looks a bit better than I remember, he was cooking, up until the hair. ZUN's art took a nosedive starting with HSiFS.
>>51351095I suppose that's fair, I won't disagree with the sheer amount of cheese WBaWC enables. I can't exactly remember too and it may be tied to other factors, but I swear I keep chaining hypers more against Mayumi, and obviously Keiki, than the rest of the game. There is a certain thrill in the sheer degeneracy of it all, notably with the otherwise both vision impairing, and rather mediocre Marisa Eagle, who has an insane shotgun under her hyper which works especially well against Mayumi. That, along with a theme that's a heart pumping, high octane military rally of a song (although again, I won't lie that it does sound discordant at times, I simply find myself enamored with it whenever I do feel like playing WBaWC), usually leaves me with a good impression that goes along with the narrative shift Stage 5 presents, with the animal spirits' role being more pronounced there. Maybe it's because of the contrast with Keiki? Keiki makes Mayumi look way more reasonable, whereas Idola Deus is borderline unreadable regardless of the shot type for the sake of the narrative, and I find the expression of the sculptor God through merely shapes to be rather underwhelming. Likewise, i'd take more of Mayumi in any form of spinoff. I think Haniwas have a lot of potential as fodder to take out. You can keep the narrative idea of them being like soldiers to justify static behavior per Haniwa type, which could make tackling the spells pretty dynamic, in a way that's different from the likes of Sekibanki (justifiably more freeform, as seen in her last DDC spell or in ISC) or other such examples. I'd take her in a fighting game too in a heartbeat. And of course, I like the rest of her too, as well as Keiki, despite their shortcomings.
