Personally I was thinking of tackling a Winter outfit from the angle of basing it on her SoEW mini-sprite, doing either something like a fur coat instead of a trench coat (so in other words just add a fluffy collar) or by turning her cape into something like a cloak. Though perhaps it interferes with your own headcanonings of the outfit being ceremonial-ish for beefing with Reimu

(even if all I did was add mittens and a high collar), simply making a fur coat variation sounds like it'll either just be too fancy for Rika or just won't be different enough, but I'll give it a try. I think her being a Youkai Exterminator might not have been relevant in the grand scheme of things, most characters in that game seemed to just want the power of the Hakurei for themselves (or for Mima).

Well if I ever become an artist I'll keep such invaluable design notes in mind (seriously though you got such a good eye for this I've ironically learned more notes on good character design from looking at your slop than from dedicated character designers...)

Hopefully, litter cooperates by the time you see this post. It had been a while since i've done dialogue, let alone a bottom introductory title of sorts. I made that gradient straight out of SA's boxart, from Okuu's colors and the surrounding background. The events prior to SA's events completely slipped my mind, so i've missed the obvious winter background, or Reimu's blue ribbon. Perhaps its the more subtle change compared to Marisa's outfit that made me forget, but at this point it's just cope. As I was lost in the sauce I also forgot the double ribbon trim on the sleeves. I do have the original without dialogue, but I don't think it's worth much.
May as well post another Halloween related post while i'm at it, although I don't think i'll be posting anything on the actual day. Have this slightly bigger, gloomy pumpkin in a field of veggies that would make the Akis proud. I could have taken this opportunity to give Kokoro a proper Halloween mask, like Ghostface, Jigsaw, Majora, or something else, but if the tree trunks weren't obvious enough, I was perhaps a little sidetracked and went for a sillier mask for her to blend in with all the lanterns.

...When it comes to the characters, at least. The shot type is not good and the Satori fight is downright miserable. Really getting punished for bomb spamming through MoF, on top of the scaling that was done to accommodate for reusing Stage 3 patterns on a Stage 4 boss. Satori pretty much cranked the difficulty up one level on all of Nitori's spells to make up for that which is nasty. I guess this is what I deserve.

Admittedly. Unless it's a character I've a strong established preference for, I tend to wing whatever feels hottest at the time. Helps (or doesn't) when a character looks good at different sizes anyway. See: Reimu, Mokou, Seiran, Eiki, Youmu... Sagume too, I suppose, although I'm nowhere the Sagumite some ITT are.
