Previous:>>65061000What are FRTs:Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs) are firearm modifications that allow semi-automatic rifles to fire more rapidly by automatically resetting the trigger after each shot, while still requiring a trigger pull for each round. They increase the rate of fire without converting the firearm into a fully automatic weapon.AR-15 is the most ubiquitous platform with the most amount of options. >>65121574Waiting...
Got the 0-45-90 ARC V2 installed, it's pretty great man
I got my XPRT-90 and sear pin can't actually fit through the spring and both sides of the actuator. It's weird because I can fit two pin through both sides at once but not one through both at the same time. No wonder they did a soft recall. I probably could've just removed a little material and it would've fit but then they probably would tell me to go fuck myself it there's something wrong with it. I ended up just sending the entire FRT kit and trigger group into them so they can fit and assemble it because I don't want to wait a whole week to get the part back and find out there's another problem. And well the sear spring in the back kinda got knocked out of place as I was removing the actuator... well they literally make P90 trigger parts for a living so that shouldn't be a problemWhole thing's just kind of a nightmare. They really should've just been making the entire triggerpack with the part already installed and selling that
Once again calling on any AUGtists here. Has anyone tried out that Red Star Palmetto trigger?
>>65122048It fits if you wiggle the disconnect block and spring around to guide the pin, but inside faces of the actuator drag on either side of the spring and gives an extremely heavy trigger pull in FRT. Did you read the info on the email where everyone was dox CC'd on? I'm expecting they are all gonna have to go back.https://fnspecialties.com/x-prt-90-inspection/
reposting the TP9 FRT Footage by 009515, it's only 2 position but still coolhttps://kg2g.github.io/FRTINFO/Footage/TP9.mp4
>>65122473Yeah, I was in that fucking email. How hard is it to use BCC. Sent mine in anyways with the entire trigger pack because that seems like the best chance of having it work well
>>65122580im going to do that too
>>65121574It's not possible to put an frt in a 91 semi-auto trigger pack? I'm looking at it and I'm thinking maybe. Probably need a semi auto bolt though, funny enough.

>>65122873Alright, I got it. I guess I thought it was something else, but they've got the whole thing going on. No need to fuck with it on my own then. Looking at it, it seemed that it might(maybe) be doable with a stock trigger pack, but a new build from the ground up would be way better anyway. Well that's cool. Hope the get the SEF going soon. It would be awesome to be able to drop it into a clipped and pinned metal housing.

seems promising
>>65129566surely it must be better than the 3D printed OOB machine
>>65130179supposedly there has been revisions to make that better tbf. Don't know how much I believe that though
>>65129566Theres another company, minuteman machining, that just came out with an machined steel MPA defender FRT. Its just an all steel Twitch but it looks more refined. minuteman machining on insta.
>>65130424the problem is the original design though, it potentially cause OOB
>>65130435seeing how it works i can believe that. maybe cashinc does have something good.unrelated but why do so many of these frt companies use AI generated logos and stuff. it makes me think im getting scammed by indians.
>>65130451I think it's because people would copy the design and sell it without their permission
>>65130451>AI generated logos and stuff-Cheap to make-Doesn't require paying marketing or artists (who will probably refuse to do service with you because of what you're selling)-They came from 3d printing so they're more often than not "pseudo-nouveau riche techbros" with no sense of aesthetics and an autistic penchant for things being free because of FOSS being the basis of their worldview-They lack the ability to do it themselvesPick a few, probably a few other reasons I didn't think of as well
>>65129566>Trigger lockoutThe other dev who was developing FRT's that used the OG lowers for the MAC'S and Vz61's was (re)implementing rate reducers to get around the blowback OOB problem. Naturally he was was.implementong the Vz61's already existing reducer for it, but said he would develop a reducer design based off off of it for the MAC as a reducer can mitigate OOB risk.A lockout is just going to ensure the bolt is in battery before it allows the FRT to reset correct? This was months and months ago mentioned in a previous thread
>>65131432that's how I took it
UMP unironically is the best blow back system since its system prevents OOB firing.
>>65132023It was designed to be closed bolt direct blowback. All these guns having OOB issues were conversions of open bolt F/A designs to closed bolt semi auto. This is also probably going to be somewhat of a problem with some of the closed bolt belt fed conversions if you've been noticing both the M249 and MG42 conversions with Prototype FRT's have abysmally low RoF, yet the closed bolt as designed HK21/23 with ARHK is near its normal F/A RoF
>FN specialties gave me the wrong address to send my trigger group + FRT to>thankfully said address doesn't exist so it's just getting returned to sender (me)This is an absolute fucking nightmare. I'm genuinely going to take them to small claims court if my FRT + trigger pack gets lost in the mail
>>65133018damn that's actually fucked. Thanks for posting this, I was going to do this soon. What ended up being the real address?
>>65133028936 is the actual one while 963 is the one the retard who didn't know how to use BCC and doxxed everyone supplied me

>>65133034gotcha thanks, jeez I hope everything works out
Finally taking out my MP5 clone with RareGreed trigger to the range on Thursday. Range has a no rapid fire rule but I'm hoping subsonics and a suppressor will buy me some time before I get yelled at lol.
>>65133092When I think about ranges like that my initial impression is that it sucks. I think think about as if I had a public range, I probably wouldnt want people to shoot FRTs at my range either because of retards being a liability. The shoot too fast rule is fucking retarded though.
>>65133101Yeah, five seconds between shots...Unless I want to overpay to shoot indoors the only other option is driving over an hour away and even then there is a non-zero chance that LEO are bogarting the range for training.
>>65133101You've also got to realize the distribution of what kinds of people are taking FRTs and """FRTs""" (glock switches, DIAS, etc) to ranges. A very large non-zero at public ranges aren't up-and-up firearm enthusiasts safely using FRTs to have fun/train, to say the least.Same with 3d printed guns. It's easier to just say no to everyone than to have to pay lawyers in the event an aspiring astrophysicist decides to call an attorney over a perceived Civil Rights Act violation.
>>65121554What's the barrel and upper assembly on this? Almost looks like a quick-swap.
>>65135004this is a HK21 I believe, I dont know how he got the upper. Pretty jealous
>>65135009There were a bunch of HK21 and HK11 parts kits a few years back. They're from Portugal. That would be where the HK21 parts came from.HKParts still has a few HK21 kits, but they're at least $3750 or so.

>>65133092Reporting back: Ran three mags through it. For me the trigger is pretty meh. While in FRT mode it rips no problem, going back and forth between FRT and Semi leads to some weird trigger stagging issues and what feels like 12lb trigger pulls. Maybe its just me being stupid but the trigger seems to hate switching between the two firing modes during the same magazine.

>>65138011yeah, ill think ill buy one. Also they mentioned that the issue with the ptr32 was with the ejector. I have a trigger pack that came with my ptr 32 that I had a trigger job done on it many many years ago and it worked just fine when I put it in my ptr91. Maybe since it was a gen 1 ptr32 and not the current version, the frt might work in it with no issue.
>>65138026makes sense to me
>>65138026You should probably read up on some of the myriad issues registered F/A pack users have had with the PTR-32 before you come to that conclusion.Tldr ASD made the right call
>>65137709Yeah, I know. But I'm not fucking paying $700 for a damn trigger pack. Besides, you also need to take a dremel to them to fit onto a S5 reciever. Not a big deal, but I'd rather pay less.
>>65137702Do law folders work with them?
>>65138295I had a law folder on an AR9 and it worked. I used a kabuto for that because I didnt feel like cutting my weight. I dont see why an ARC wont work.

>>65139276Just buy an ARCfire v2, it's rated for early (pre A5) AND late 416's/MR's
>>65138299Should also work with hoffman style too.
>>65137290Did you get yelled at though?
>>65139276Get the arc fire v2 with hk levers.
>>65140510Nope. It was just me and two others at the range so I guess either the clubhouse guy didn't care or my suppressor/sub plan worked. I didn't do a full mag dump but strings of 5 or 6 round bursts just to not be completely obvious either. Can't wait till my Rugged Sub9 gets approved and makes it even quieter. All I could hear behind the trigger was the bolt carrier and rounds hitting the berm behind the paper target. In regards to the trigger I'm thinking me switching positions might have rocked the pack in the trigger housing causing the trip to not make full contact causing a dead trigger until I pulled the pack into the right position via the trigger. I'm using a legit HK trigger housing which RareGreed says their pack is loose in because MKE housings are out of spec in comparison and they designed their pack to fit and work in both. So I'll have to make some shims and see if that solves it in the future.
>>65139280I still can't believe retards still find some way to buy and shoot cetmes from over twenty years ago with ground down bolt heads. They have got to be seeking them out at this point.
>>65142726what's the issue with cetmes? I'm not in the loop
>>65144270Twenty years ago century decided to headspace cetmes by grinding down the bolt face instead of changing out rollers. Needless to say they'd have all sorts of issues besides constantly expanding headspace with the softened bolt face. Those used to be the only cetmes available for about ten years before century decided to send cetmes (c308) to be built by ptr instead. Those were fine as it was precovid ptr. Just got back from the range with my 45 degree ARC. Works beautifully! I also ran my Custom CMMG AR9 build with ARC V1, SS cut Rave 140 trigger. Again works amazingly, no weight to cut or anything.

>>65144499Geissele
>>65145197Are there any that aren't $450?
>>65145236you might also be able to get schmid 2 stage triggers to work, you just need the SS cut and lever blocker. Also if you want a Geissele, wait for blems at memorial day sales, you can get them very cheapyou'd need the lever blocker for the Geissele as well
>>65145240>>65145236looking this up more, regarding the schmid two stage, it may not work with SS, but it will work with the Atrius and a lever blocker from themhttps://youtu.be/bnqUnS2PlcE?t=282To simplify, none will work with MBT-2S.If you want to use a SS/ARC, you can use a Geissele with a SS cut and lever blocker. If you want to use a Atrius schmid 2 stage or a Geissele without a cut and lever blocker.
>>65121554Haven't checked in a year. Has someone made an AK frt that includes semi auto yet?
>>65145859So currently you can make the current AK FRT 3 position, but the reliability of it is kinda hit or miss from my understanding. No other solution has been released. There several groups that are working on it which includes Texas Triggers, Plinkify and kalashtriggers which is called the MAKGA TRIGGER, cringe name but what can you do. kalashtriggers does have a lot of footage showing the FRT in action and it doesnt require any FA parts like the current solution. kalashtriggers currently have a wait list on their site for notice of a release and they are active on reddit as WolverineGlum6529 I'm personally waiting on the kalashtriggers version as it'll probably release soon.
>>65145879meant to also show footage for the kalashtriggers variant
>>65144355Did you cut the rave or did you buy it precut? I've got one laying around I want to try cutting but would like to see how it's done.
>>65145976got it pre cut from here https://www.senjutsu-tekinaseido.com/product-page/rise-rave-140-ss
Is the Atrius any good for $200? Would still need a trigger.
>>65146242it works, the biggest issue is has is the strength of the lever. The lever is known to snap. There are clones of the Atrius, one notable called the cornfire which works the same way but the lever is a bit thicker and made out of S7 tool steel. If you have 200 dollars, I would honestly get the ARC fire as it is very robust and comes with a trigger. You can also get the ARC V1, I've seen them on sale for about ~$150 also comes with a cut trigger.
>ARHKI’ve got an early version of the SS with a printed housing and slip, but I’m think I’ll throw money at this new design. Would I risk a Lee lower incident by getting the first iteration or is ASdesigns pretty reliable with their new products?
>>65146274from my experience, ASDesigns is pretty reliable yeah, far from perfect though. Reports from the support is pretty decent. I think for the most part, they are very good as there isnt a lot posts of issues in general.
Do any frt's exist for the FAL or USP?
>>65146395no there are no FRTs for either currently although the developer of the partisan trigger is making on for the FAL
Looks like Duality Arms Co is developing a FRT or something for the Tavor but release it open source?>Truth is we have to test each platforms ability to fire in a "binary" mode, safe to say this one is RATL-R/Mamba capable, why waste a good file right!? Just gotta work out the last snag and this two step module is getting uploaded to Cult3d
>>65145879Looked into kalashtriggers and his MAKGA. Seems like vaporware. Only online presence was Instagram, then didn't respond to shit on Reddit, and then a website with nothing on it.Like one of the comments, if they're so non-answering to anything about their product, then think of the customer service after you buy it. I don't even care that it's a newjack first-timer making shit in a garage with no business acumen, it's kicking it off hush-hush so that nobody knows the issues and looks as vaporware as that shitty STG clone where they had a plan but just couldn't pull it off.

Are there recommended brands for MP5 clones? I am not buying HK. Although I am also hesitant to buy Turk clones, despite them having a pretty good reputation and supposedly using HK specs...
>>65163115MKE has fixed the early problems. You can see the changes on their newer guns. And by newer, I mean last couple years. Most of the issues were related to the semi-auto conversion work they did to their normal military/police production. Keep in mind that these were full-auto guns that they had to modify for the US market. They're good guns, just needed some tweaking. MKE has been manufacturing the MP5 since the early 80s.If you decide to get an AP5, order it from a big online retailer. They keep replenishing their stocks from newly imported guns. The guns usually run out of stock after a couple months.

G-Force CNC solutions made an FRT for the MC9
asdesigns should dissolve their relationship with whoever is doing their samples, basically their market for the kuna and B&T guns are destroyed.
Thoughts on Arizona Regulator's reliability, fitting or quirks?Building an M16A1 clone and it looks like the most aesthetic option but I usually run GMR super safeties without issue.>>65125981Redacted arms AKSS has been working great in my SAR-1. Only fitting needed was widening the cam hole for the selector, minor break in, has a steel pin retainer, adding a Texas Triggers recoil buffer stops the bolt from hanging up completely and increases rate of fire a bit. Tried DNT but was a no go.
>>65166257I too am building an M16A1 and in the process of looking for an FRT. The only thing I don't like about the AZ reg is the color. It's too black for A1 builds. Not really a big deal for me, as I plan on painting my lower with moly resin anyway and I'll have the right color. But it would really stand out if it wasn't painted.
>>65166257I think most of the time it just works but depending on your upper, you may have some fitting>>65166257>>65166328Another option to look into as well are the kabuto style FRTs like thishttps://www.senjutsu-tekinaseido.com/product-page/arss15-advance-resting-safety-system-drop-inThese can use M16 selectors, but I dont know if the selectors just work or require cutting
>>65166339Can't use kabuto as my lowers have M16 pockets.
>>65166346ah fair enough, then az regulator it is. Regulator does work, several reports from a lot of people confirms it. PSR also made a video on it. Regarding fitting, it seems to just depend.
>>65166328>>65166339>>65166347Good stuff, thanks. It's one of intlmilco's 1971 Colt gray lowers with an M16 pocket. Looked online and saw people having issues with the AR frt and was curious what the consensus was here and if it's just people being retarded with buffer and spring weight or something. Having a Vector and no problems with either the RATL-R and Mamba but witnessing the massive ongoing Duality Arms shitshow had me unsure.
>>65166257So far happy with my AZR in an M16A2 build, so far has run incredibly well without fail using blanks and M193 spec ammo, didn't require any fitting. The sear(?) that sticks up to interface with the tail of the bolt carrier has a barely noticeable gouge on one edge of the sear. I think it's because the interior of the tail of my bolt carrier on that side, sticks out just a few thousandths farther than the other side
>>65165966Elaborate plsThey just too slow to market?
>>65167022There just are more options that people run with now. Nexus firearms dominate the Kuna and there is currently a drop in cassette FRT for B&T guns. Stribog looks okay currently but that's only because to get a FRT working with stribog today, you need to cut your upper.
>>65156099I'm in the June July batch. I guess I'll report back if I have any troubles consistent with you other anons.
Pembie is dropping something huge soon!>The pembie-5 is just days away from pre order release, this is the first drop in Super safe compatible cassette for the oem mp5 lower! Using a modified trigger and milspec ar15 hammer with a 2 position super safety you get the best fire rate and you dont have to swap your lower! This patent pending setup will not only tickle that itch but also will be extremely affordable. We had a few issues at GMM with it but it was a simple fix that I overlooked during assembly... wrong lever lol.https://x.com/pembie000ind/status/2056829514056093822#m

>>65168039Yeah not after their last product, someone else can beta test this time
>>65168588funny enough they are making a gen 3 frt for the vector, whatever that'll be
>>65168220What's up with that little baby selector lever?
ASDesigns updated their production status.https://activesafetydesigns.com/production-status/
Is there anyone out there working on an Uzi FRT?
>>65169440Not that I am aware of, no
Just ordered my Arc V1 for $126 shipped. Lets gooo. Hopefully it'll drop in just fine. Normal milspec lower with Anderson LPK on a 10.5" PSA upper & bolt. Fun times for the trash pile gun.
>>65169445hell of a deal there friend, hope you have a blast!
>>65169445Is there any big difference between v1 and v2 for the huge price gap?
>>6516945345 degree selectors, more selector style options, slightly strongerhonestly not really, 45 degree selector is pretty sweet though
what does this even mean?
>>65169598With context clues, I'd assume an AR-15 bolt carrier that is specifically engineered for reliability and reducing the amount of tuning needed for FRTs.Maybe something to help assuage the need for H3 buffers because of the ongoing issues with tungsten availability like added weight into the BCG?
>>65169669>assuageneat word, never heard of it.What you say makes sense
>>65169669I never got this shit.>buy 2 SS>put them in my ARs (20" and 10.5")>they just werk
>>65169736I put an ARC v1 into an 11.5" and I needed an H3 buffer to make it run right. Carbine buffer would reset and run in semi but not in ARC. It does happen, or else every FRT merchant wouldn't have big FAQs about weight tuning.Fwiw, I've also had success with an H2 buffer and a Geissele Super 42 spring on the same 11.5" upper.Do you know what weight buffers are in them already?>20"If you have a rifle buffer, you already have an H3 buffer. They're both 5.4 oz. Otherwise see below.>10.5"You either already have an H3 buffer, have the world's most undergassed gun, shoot only the world's shittiest ammo, or got extremely lucky.
>>65169749>Do you know what weight buffers are in them already? It's been a while, but I think I've always used H3 in every AR I've built. Again, it just werks, and I never had to change stuff like that when building or firing an AR.
>>65169749I also have an 11.5, I run a A5H2 (A5 tube) with rifle Geissele Super 42Runs pretty well suppressed with a CAT WB
>>65169775I haven't suppressed mine yet (first time with enough money to consider buying a can and don't know which to go for yet; probably going for a Flow 556k or a CAT WB), so I figure that will be another headache in making it still run.God I hate CAT's branding
>>65169785Not him, but flow through massively reduces that issue.
>>65169785>God I hate CAT's brandingyeah but the performance is amazing, in the suppressor world they are boutique.I have 2 CAT BENs, CAT MOB and a CAT WB. My custom CMMG AR9 build with the CAT MOB and Federal 150gr syntechs is so quiet that I honestly could not hear the shot over the bolt cycling. Sounded like a nailgun.
>>65169794I've both heard and experienced this from a friend's suppressed guns, which is why I'm looking at flow-through cansThe industry at-large doesn't make it easy to pick a can though with the amount of background noise present, and the government doesn't make it easy to sell off a bad can purchase like I could to some parts that I don't like>>65169796I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the input
>>65169841There's really no bad purchases (besides an Obsidian 9 lmao).
>>65170133There's literally no reason to get the Obsidian 9 when the Mojave 9 exists.
>>65159822I would sell instantly sell $17k worth of my gun collection for that M2 if a FRT existed for it.
>>65170133Also yhm and dead air
how embarrassing
>>65170471SAD! Many such cases...
>>65135984Whenever you can keep your mouth shut and your phone off. At any rate, there is a reason they haven't made a single prosecution or conviction on the "law". They don't want to inevitably lose it and would rather have it as weight for a stack of charges to persuade whomever wilt to cop a plea. If I were closer to retarded I would go be a test case on it, as such sloppily worded bills as that just rankles ones soul and may not be abided by the conscientious linguist....retired...
Just saw a post that asd is making a genesis 12 frt? Is this true? I don't see anything on their website about it
Anyone have any info on the 9mm CMMG RDB system. Seems most people can actually get it working with a regular buffer/spring?My friend couldn't and is selling me his BRT upper + 12" HTA SD sup.
>>65170689East Valley Tactical has a service which allows for FRT usage. Requires machining of the firearm. https://kg2g.github.io/FRTINFO/Footage/Genesis-Gen-12.mp4s3igu2 developing lever that works with the ARC Fire and Gen-12 without any machining. https://kg2g.github.io/FRTINFO/Footage/GEN12ARC1.mp4
>>65170838I have a custom CMMG build, works super well. My build is not regular at all though so I wouldnt be able to tell you. I can say that I've seen default banshee build work well
>>65169598all we can see from the pic is a down vent gas system and something similar to a 9mm bolt weight. should help with some FRT issues and would be pretty sick regardless
>>65170558Retard, stop being retarded. Clearly people over here use them with zero fucks, and I'm clearly questioning the clearance of the law as you said. There is already a case on it because some retard was distributing it from Texas.
>>65168611>>65168220SO fucking annoying that all these fucking companies are incapable of making FRT/SS safety selectors that actually look like the original selectors. Proof that no one has taste nor sense. I will say the East Valley B&T Safety selectors did a good job though. >>65169598>>65169669>>65169680Hopefully it is an added mass carrier. Tungsten is fucking expensive these days. >assuage Fucking zoomer AI brianrot no vocab having
>>65171655>incapableThe outer lever on original HK selectors was stamped and pinned to the rest of it, that's a "manufacturing realities of modern America" issue. No FRT mfg is at the scale where stamping equipment would be a worthwhile investment over milling parts and using screws. C'est la vie. They could mill ones that are closer, but then you'd still have to solve the assembly redesign because HK safeties aren't meant to come out or be tuned like FRTs need to be.>tungsten is fucking expensiveAin't that the truth, I paid $50 for an H3 after abusing Brownells coupons to get that price, and they're all $75+ anywhere I see them now.It won't get better until some company settles on a cheaper material. KAK said they were working on that front a few months ago, I figure that BCG is part of their effort. Weight in the BCG to make the buffer weight less essential seems like a logical first step.
This might have already been talked about in previous threads. What would be people thoughts on a firearm that has a forced reset system built into the design? like a Sten type design thats simple and cheap but gets the job done. its hard to gauge people desire for such designs, since forced reset can fit in popular platforms like the AR's and such. I'm mostly aiming at the pistol and PCC areas of FRT's, the offerings seem lackluster or they can get expensive like the MP5. If the price on a new weapon is good enough would it be worth it?
>>65171837Definitely!>know people who are daunted by FRT installation or choice paralysis>the kind scared of disassembling a BCG>lowers barrier of entry >Sten and Grease Gun have their appeal>PCCs are popular, 9mm is [relatively] cheapI'd be on board for around $1000. Ideally less, but I'm aware that isn't practical. Your audience is limited because state restrictions.
I would go into debt for a fucking FRT Grease Gun you have no idea
>>65171837yeah I interested. As easy to me that replacing triggers, selectors and changing buffers while testing is, having a turn key solution is extremely attractive. There are rifles out there that have them pre installed and I assume tested, but those are actual scams, so there is a market for this.
>mass airdropping cheap prebuilt FRT guns like LiberatorsFuck yeah
Does P90 generation matter for FRTs?
>>65172495I have never seen any PS90 FRT that mentions a generation so I would assume, no
>>65172501Cool. Gotta get one and SBR it. Goldeneye RCP90 was my first love.
>>65171323I stand corrected
>>65172794Thank you.
>>65172495As long as the FRT includes a hammer. That is the main difference between the PS90 gens that matters for FRT purposes.
>>65172495Tacking on to what this anon mentions:>>65174606If you have one of the collectable gen 1 trigger packs I'd suggest not modifying it because people seem to want to pay stupid money for them.
