Several western armies and specOps units have made a distinction now between

here's a question for the ages. If it's possible at all to move the grip and trigger forward on the receiver on the M240, why the fuck did only Barrett think of it in so many decades? you significantly save up on length, you no longer need a big heavy stock, and you don't need long clown arms to reload it from a prone or dugout position. And you can still have a solenoid or spade grip for the mounted versions anyway.
